Intermission: MSG broadcast team tells everyone this team is good and AV is doing the right things because of 16-8 SOG while not counting the fact that we had 4 power plays and they had zero.

We were abysmal at ES.

Am i the only one who feel like every other team has better control when they have the puck in possession then we do. I feel like we treat the puck like its a bomb. The players seem like they don't know at times how to handle a puck. Or shoot when they should pass, pass when they should shoot. And then we have the forecheck, the Sharks was doing a really good forcheck a couple of shifts there, hounding us. We havent done that all season i feel. But then again, i might just be blind.

Rangers literally cannot make a mistake of any kind or it’s in the net. Has been this way almost every night particularly thru the first periods of games. I don’t know how u can win that way. Hockey is a game of mistakes.

How can u say they played bad? They dominated the period. Sharks score two goals on crap chances

Nah, we were pretty good at ES. Jones made the saves and Hank gave up a horrific goal.

The Korsi Kids are at it again!

Eventually it'll revert to the mean, likely to coincide with a coaching change leading to many confirmation bias 'told ya so's.

These idiots on NHL Network slamming the Rangers for “lazy play”. Even though they outshot the Sharks 2-1, and the Shark goals were weak...

And I’ve got bad news for a lot of people here. I’m not so sold on shesterkin. Dominating for SKA is not saying much. I’d have a gaa around 2.45 on that team.

Kid isn’t much bigger than Saros from what I can see. Hope I’m wrong but the last thing I want is another undersized goaltender.

How is the bad starts to games not blamed on AV?

The coach has to get his team ready to play at puck drop.
That's the biggest indictment on him. He hasn't gotten his team ready to plan for 6 of the 10 games so far this season. That's on the players, but mostly the coach. No accountability.

Hayes and Staal have been two of our best players so far this season.

As far as Lundqvist goes, terrible goal. He's sure not as good as he was. I'd still rather have him than most starting goalies, but I don't expect him to carry us anymore. Not in this game particularly, but to begin the season I think our defensive zone has been a mess and he can't cope with that atm.

Expected goals is 2.5-0.32

That was the most lopsided period we've been involved in this season.
