The players seem like they don't know at times how to handle a puck. Or shoot when they should pass, pass when they should shoot. And then we have the forecheck, the Sharks was doing a really good forcheck a couple of shifts there, hounding us. We havent done that all season i feel. But then again, i might just be blind.

That's been a trademark during AV's time behind the bench here. We've always been all about rushes and speed and crappy at offensive cycling possessions leading to anything except time off the clock. I think it's in large part due to our Man D style which makes it 'easier' for other teams to maintain possession while we focus on passing lane blocking, while 'supposedly' leading to better offensive transitions. As our guys face zone D it's harder for us to maintain possession but also harder for the opposition to create rush opportunities.

That's the theory anyway.
 
Before the season started I said goaltending will be our biggest problem. You can go back and look it up. And it most certainly is.

If you take out that ridiculously good start October/November of 2015 and look at hank from dec 15 thru 16 thru all of 16-17 and the first month of this season he has been probably the worst starting goalie in the nhl. That’s consistent drop off. It’s over for him and us for the next few seasons. Good time to rebuild.
 
I love Hank, defended him for years. He’s kept this franchise afloat for a decade and singlehandedly carries them when they had no identity and no real team in front of him. Unfortunately his best days are behind him. That’s not an insult, everyone ages and declines. He was dominant for over a decade! I don’t know what to do, but a major shake up is in order. It’s not just Hank it’s the whole team as a collective unit.

I mean, to lambast Kreider for a couple minutes and then not acknowledge the second goal at all...is cringeworthy.

Comparing them is absurd? How come? Hank outplayed Price not 6 months ago and so far this season Hank is better. I know you dont like to use facts but nonetheless, the fact is at this point in their respective careers Hank is the better goalie.

It’s not man. I think best case scenario for this team is fighting for the 8th spot and that’s if everything clicks and they all collectively wake up. I just think this team is disinterested, unmotivated, and the chemistry is awful. Hockey is a funny sport when the coach and the team chemistry are major factors. Those are nonexistent on this squad.
 
everyone of our centers (DD and Zibby) besides hayes are garbage right now
