Take a look at his numbers last year and who he’s around. He’s very very obviously a very good first liner.

There are 3-5 teams where he would be in the discussion for top forward. On most teams he might be the 3rd best forward. On some teams he isn't a top 3 forward. To me, that is not the definition of a very good 1st liner.

Turned out to be a workmanlike win by the Sharks. Lots of good chances by the Rangers but they don't know how to seal the deal at the net.
No improvement really, went backwards. Sharks handled them well.

Well, exactly, he was way too slow. I spent half the night asking people to back off Lundqvist, but he made two terrible errors. Accept it. Every goalie has a bad game and gives up bad goals. If he stands with the puck behind the net for more than a split second, gets dispossessed and we concede, it is on him.
