Is LinkedIn useful at all? I have one and all it does is send me spam emails asking me to connect to people I've never heard of, a tiny handful of former classmates, and in one case a former coworker who was a total moron.

What is LinkedIn premium career subscription?


A Premium Career account is aimed at job seekers who want to view their competition, receive InMail credits, see who has viewed their profile in the past 90 days, and enjoy all the features of a Basic LinkedIn account.

So, I guess if you're your friend is planning on eliminating your their competition for a job you're they're going after, then that's totes worth the 40$ a month. At least until you've they've eliminated all your their competition. Not sure why else it would be very useful or worth 40$ a month.

So I went to Japan for 10 days and came back on Sunday. And my goodness, the train system is something to die for. Everything is on time for the most part and when it's delayed it's for like 10 minutes tops (unless a "serious bodily injury" happens re: I don't wanna think about it) and they run every 2-5 minutes. I took the Shinkansen Tokyo to Osaka (A little shorter than SF to LA) and it took 3 hours and we can't even accomplish that here? Alas... And it's cheap too.
