To be honest, Enroth was raked before the coals of the defense we hadn't yet recognized as horrible and then came into a game cold. He won't be the reason for the loss here.

I'm actually optimistic about Pardy, he plays a simple game. Keep the play to the outside, tie guys up in the middle, clear the puck along the boards, make the safe play and get it out of the zone.

...defensemen in this organization still know how to do that?

I'm thinking we lose 5-2. VHP with the goals, Sens shoot 5 hole all night and get rewarded

Ruff always throws in the backup in this situation. He's told the team they won't win tonight...it won't even be close.

Yeah, this to me stinks of "throwing in the towel." I can just see Ruff thinking, "Gee, we're playing poorly and now Ehrhoff is injured, which means a certain loss. Well, we better not waste Miller. Jhonas, the wolves are hungry!"

Suffice to say, I'm not optimistic. I also expect to see way more "nagging injuries" become an issue as this team's morale continues to plummet. Suddenly the will to play and gut through strains and bruises goes out the window when you're sub .500. And thus a bad problem gets worse.

I cannot see Buffalo winning this game or even being close. With the shoddy defence, the certain losses in all defensive draws, only one line scoring, only great goaltending would make this one close away in Ottawa. While I am all set to watch the game I wonder how long before I change the channel!

So Anderson has only given up 9 goals in 8 games-----ALL in the first period?

No goals given up outside of period 1. What's he trying to prove?

This will be interesting......
