That no call on Parayko was fine. Puck was well past him. Glad the Blues showed some fight but they have work to do. They got manhandled tonight.

I got warned for posting I disagreed with the crowd about injuries/penalties being the difference tonight. This site is weird.

Not our best game, really got out played possession wise. Bad officiating didn’t help. We got outshot and out played overall though. Wish we were full strength so we can see how this team stacks up vs the Avs with ROR and Saad.

However, even with all of the above we’re still made it a close one. This counterattack/rush offense is legit and might steal us a-lot of games throughout the Seasons.

Well, The Blues lost. But, they didn't lie down. Kyrou is just starting to show traits that will have him breaking out this season, and being a star in this league. Kostin seems to be improving, and Neighbours, although making rookie mistakes, is benefiting by continuing to get ice time. I don't like losing, but, with your dominant faceoff man out, losing your top line, having to kill lots of penalties against the fastest skating team and one of the 3 most skilled offences in The League, it's not a surprise. On to the next game!

We had to fight two teams tonight. The Avs and the Refs. I want to be clear the Blues were not very good tonight, the Avs were good and refs were f***ing awful. It was just too much to overcome. Honestly though, I don't know how Avs or their fans (who I know are over here reading our board too) can feel good about this one. We were missing 2/3rds of our top line. The refereeing was heavily in their favor, not just in calls but also non-calls and the Avs were at top of their game while the Blues looked off and they still barely escaped with a victory. This loss does nothing my confidence that the Blues are the better hockey team right now.

Never got in a groove this game and we can't win them all but at least I can rest easy knowing that this Avalanche team at full strength isn't as good as our team at full strength. We can win the division and compete for the Cup with some much deserved better luck avoiding the injury and COVID bug this year after last year's disaster in that regard.

5-1 and our only loss came during a Ref Fest game to the notorious Refalanche. I am proud that they found a way to make a game out of it though, could have very easily folded when it was 3-1 after the Refs smacked them with a steel chair.

Blues got outplayed but the shot total is the typical misleading stat it usually is. When you get 0 PP time and the other team spends 10 minutes on it, of course you are going to get outshot. That is like swiping right to every girl on Tinder and claiming you got more matches than the guy who makes sure he only swipes for women he is actually interested in.

Chief will not be happy and we need to be better Saturday vs Chicago. LETS GO BLUES

Blues dug their own grave with the penalties.

Not having ROR or Saad hurt.

Tank was the only veteran who did much tonight.

First loss. Not terrible, but predictable.
