5 goals tonight. Things heading in the right direction
Hey look the really high-scoring team scored some more goals....Who would have guessed?
What kind of incoherent drunken madness is this.Matthews just won a Rocket with Rielly's baby shit soft shots. I do not give a single, solitary f*** about anyone else on the roster. Mitch and Auston are being paid no off day money. Put up or give me my money back.
Inshallah! Tonight was good!Pray to Allah they win tonight. Starting 0-2 at home and winning is very rare historically. This game has an insane amount of significance. For the series, for the core, for the playoffs.

I guess my point slide right off your smooth brain.Drunken madness, drunken madness, friend, that's fully punctuated featuring complete sentences. Some of y'all didn't go to no name rural state universities for undergrad and it really shows.

He answered the call very well indeed. It would be nice if Matthews took the team on his back like Mack does for Colorado. Kadri went out for them, and I had no doubt they would still win their next game. JT goes out for us and I really have no idea what to expect tonight.
the amount of pouting one loss where a freak injury happened to our captain has caused is hilarious
Leafs can win any way you want to play the game. That's the difference this season. In prior years, we're losing this series with near certainty. But we can win loose or tight now.If the Leafs have trouble scoring against the Jets you can bring this up.
Habs know they can only win one way. By trapping and trying to win games 2-1. Leafs know this as well and don’t take too many risks because they know that in the end they just need 2 goals to win so they wait for the mistakes to happen before capitalizing on it.
We played the best offence in the division AND the best defence.
Things tighten up in the playoffs and offence drops across the board. Teams are more risk averse when they have a lead, teams are more aggressive when playing from behind.
The last 2 teams we played are defined by their defence, it’s basically all they really have. Weather that storm and we’ll move on to more open hockey with the airplanes.
One things I have noticed is that this team really struggles to capitalize on an odd man rush or a breakaway. Pretty crazy how snake bit they are on those opportunities. Not quite sure what to say there.
Re: the bolded - I think Price is just really freaking good, and in those skill vs. skill situations he knows how to come out ahead. Fortunately the Leafs are fantastic at generating a surplus of quality opportunities, either through greasy goals, skilled goals, veteran goals, garbage goals, or lucky goals.
So far in the playoffs:
Top 5 expected goals/60:
1. Avs
2. Leafs
(Big Gap)
3. Panthers
4. Oilers
5. Canes
Top 5 goals/60:
1. Avs
2. Bolts
3. Isles
4. Leafs
5. Bruins
...only reason it hasn't been worse for the Habs is because Price has been good in net.
Yea, this thread aged well.
