Zib has always had a cannon of a slapshot - just sometimes the accuracy is off, and that will happen this year as well; but, when it is on it is on. It's a volume you thing, and I am okay with that, let the guy keep booming it even if he is having an inaccurate stretch, the threat cannot be ignored by other teams.

Mika following through on what was promised last preseason. He scored a couple of PP one timers and got everyone excited but then couldn't keep it up in the RS. Those RH one timers are critical to a good PP, and the Rangers now have several of them.

I thought we looked pretty good.
Their first goal was annoying because it was a lot of little mistakes, that all came together to give them a goal.
Their 2nd was a beautiful sequence on a soft penalty.

We had the better of 5on5 play (or so it seemed) and the PP really cashed in at the end.
Mike and Shatty on the PP could be in for big years, Shatty already makes the PP look a lot better.

Staal had a very solid start. If AV can keep him to 3rd pair minutes and some PK time I think he and DeAngelo can work well together

This game is primed for Chytil to come out flying and score a clutch goal on one of his first shifts next period. I can feel it in my bones.

That is his usual spot i believe. He goes to the front when there is a rotation (puck chasing and formation getting all messed up). I think at least

He won't consistently hit those, because he isn't Stamkos or Ovechkin - but we should still feed him for those shots on the PP nonetheless, it is a good formula and a shot that teams cannot just ignore.

Yeah I don't get why he's being put in the middle there. Zucc feeds passes, he's not a redirection player
