Zuccarello Appreciation Thread Part 2

reading that more and more people on this board are having faith in him as more than a one dimentional player, gives me alot of joy!(not judning anybody who was skeptical)for m me we are now seeing a taste of what he is capable of. my belief in him is the same as it was when he came(no more no less!) i truely hope he can be the player he is capable of(entire nhl career)at the club i have followed and loved for the past 10 years!! happy holidays people!

I always had faith that Zuccarello could become a better player than he was in his first couple of seasons as a Ranger, but I didn't expect him to be among our top forwards game after game after game. He showes up in every game. Even when he dosen't produce, he was still was a big part of what was good in almost any given game. Since the scratch the worst he has played has been ok. And even before he wasn't playing bad, it just didn't translate into points.

I don't think even the biggest Zucc fans would have thought that he was gonna lead the team in points about halfway through the season.

I always thought he had 60 point potential. Right now he's on pace for that- I expect he'll cool off a little and finish with something around 50.

The biggest problem is that 60 points has the pole position for this team right now.
 
Been the best forward on this team for a while. Kreider second best. And thats exactly why this team is struggling. Richards, Nash, Stepan, Brassard. They need to do more. But kudos to Zucc. One of the few guys on this team that brought his A game this year.
 
great to se him play without fear of failure..hes last season in sweeden he could almost do what ever he wanted,and it showed in hes play! if i remeber corectly he did not play on the line with forsberg(hes short comback) but stil was the best in the league that year...

i thougt you where one of his suporters for a long tim?:) any way the crow must taste good the way hes playing... think if every player would exeed our expectation.. maybe next year :sarcasm:
 
Some MSG guy said Zucc is a bargain, and he should blame his agent :laugh:

I guess Slats gonna have to pay him a lot more if he wants to keep him after this season.

Both Zucc and Kreider are gonna get a hefty raise. Zucc leading the team in points and Kreider leading the team in goals in less games

Former Ranger Dave Maloney said at a mill and change he did not know of a bigger bargain.

Joe Michelleti said that salary will not stay that low for long.

why wait?signing him now even do they dont need to will only make him feel all the more loved... is there a rule on when you can and not can give a new player a new contract?

Its probably a good idea to see if he can at least keep the production up until game 60, or even the full season before throwing money at him.

Consistency is big, we already have enough moneycollectors on this team that arent doing a lot to earn their wages.

But if the deciscion had to be made today, obviously pay and raise

Agreed. Zucc is doing a great job but we need to see him continue. He has earned a raise anyway BUT if he wants like 4-5 million per then he needs to keep it up the rest of the way
 
Slats is in no hurry, Zucc is RFA.

Besides, Hank went downhill for a while after the signing, maybe it's best to wait...

from the clubs prospective your totally right... beeing zuc id presume hell understand.. CLUB FIRST
