pretty much

Price will be back and we have some really nice young pieces coming

Zegras with Cole would be elite as weve seen internationally

Zegras was elite internationally without Caufield. Caufield was a monumental disappointment at the World Juniors, arguably the team's worst overall forward.

Caufield + Romanov and 1st better be getting us matthews if not Mcdavid

That package doesn't even get you Zegras let alone Matthews or McDavid.

The one thing I hate about this board is when people can't seem to realize when a team is absolutely enamored with a player of theirs and just isn't getting moved, but does one of these threads anyway. Is there even one good reason to move Zebras without being blown away with overpayment, and is there a team less able to make an overpayment than Montreal? There is no deal to be made here.

Zegras has shown that hes one of the few players in the league that can keep up with Caufield and hit him in that sweet spot for the one tee,, in order for the Habs to get full value out of Cole and use him properly, they need someone like Zegras to be robin to Coles Batman.

Here is what I propose,,

:habs

Zegras
Zellwegger
4th round pick

:ducks

Norlinder
Mysak
2023 1st round pick
2024 1st round pick
Tuch (to be flipped to Buffalo for another pick to play with his brother - Buffalo would value him higher to you could probably get another 1st rounder out of this).

D-swap of prospecs in Norlinder and Zellwegger as it seems Norlinder would look good in Anaheims system.

Potentially three 1st rounders for Zegras.. Bit of an overpay for MTL but you have to pay to get good players.,,
Dear Anaheim, please give us your top player, who is now looking like he should have gone 1st overall that year and we will give you 2 guys drafted way later and 2 more picks who likely will not be anywhere near as good as Zegras.

Habs 1st pick could be Wright in which your not.
Than it would be ,

Zellwegger
4th round pick

for

Norlinder
Mysak
2024 1st round pick
Tuch

Now that's an easy NO from the Habs.

well this is the funniest shit i've seen all day.

Zegras is literally our next franchise player. like we haven't had this much media around our team for something actually good in who knows how long and you want us to give that up for some mystery boxes just to help the Habs. Get out of here lol

You want Zegras, I want the '22 first for starters.
For starters? All depends where that pick falls. If it's the 1st OA then we keep our new C. If it's the 2nd OA than it would have to be in play for a player of Zegras calibre.
I do under stand you guys not having any interest in trading him but some of the post in here are plainly dumb.

If that mystery box is Wright than walk away because there's no chance in hell any GM would offer up Wright ,Romanov an Caufield for Zegras. Now that would be funny !~@!#.

That is how much of an overpayment it would take. Of course you're well within reason to keep a 1OA pick, but the last thing I want is to trade Z for a bag of magic beans.

Zegras is literally everything you want in a player on and off the ice in both flash and production. Ducks aren't trading him. Trading Zegras would be like the Lakers trading young Kobe.... too much hype and well deserved, teams won't move those type of players in any sport.

To put it in perspective. Lindros was more sold than traded, like Gretzky, and the flyers still got a mind-blowing return. 15m USD was higher than the record EPL transfer at the time.

I’ll start by saying it is hilarious you think the Habs are only 1 piece away from contending.
Last year was a total fluke lead by Price getting hot. This year is a lot closer to what the team really is.
Now on to the trade.
Hahahahah
Start with Suzuki, and add THIS YEARS 1st.
Why the hell would they accept that mixed bag of Meh?

You are correct you have to pay to get, but your offer is pooh
