Ed Ned and Leddy
Brokering the Bally Sports + Corncob TV Merger
Filip Hronek has played twelve (12) periods of hockey in Vancouver btw.
No, I'd like to see that.Would it be overly petty to post the video from 2018 of his shitty, entitled attitude when he got sent down to GR, now that it's 2023 and the world can see that he has a shitty, entitled attitude about being sent down to GR?

An eye ball test is only applicable if you watch every draft pick on every team, otherwise it’s just bias if you’re watching one team and ignoring all statistics to the contrary.
Like I said, we were definitely not good, the data showed we were like 19th or something like that.dont think we're on the same page here. Eye balling the list of teams and their drafts, i cant for the life of me find one that did worse.. maybe im wrong, i hope i am. But, if i was wrong, we wouldnt be in the position we're in.
Either way, argument aside, the organization pre-yzerman really fcked up drafting. Plain and simple.
Id even be willing to accept "oh damn, i wish we never let that guy go, look at him now" but we cant even really say that, either.
Ahh, you twisted my arm.
Yes like them. All those picks and roster players so far have amounted to zero. Add Zadina to list. Blame Holland or blame Yzerman regardless the Detroit Red Wings have little to nothing to show for basically half a decade of drafting...Like who?
Hronek looked bad in Vancouver and will definitely guide them to the bottom 10.
Bertuzzi looked good in the playoffs on the stat sheet but was a mess defensively.
Vrana is a locker room problem.
Zadina didn't ever develop.
Mantha is lazy.
Cholowski was always a mistake.
What "solid roster players" are you even talking about?
Enh, I didn't think that was all that bad. He's lacking media training, is all. Deep down inside I would imagine that's how all high picks would feel but you're right in that you have be more presentable than that.
Instead of having the mindset / attitude of " I've gotta use this opportunity to dig in deep and come out strong" he clearly has a demeanor of " Yeah, ugh, they did this to me and I'll go do it cuz I have to"
At least that's how I see it here. I could be wrong. Don't know the guy.
Makes me wonder if the reason why he fell to #6 was because the other teams interviewed him and Kenny didn't. He's obviously got an attitude issue along with low IQ, a very dangerous combo.
I'm really wondering if he even gets a PTO anywhere, I'm sure he's already on a bunch of "do not want" lists.

Zadina's ceiling is 15 goals a year average and that's with PP1 time and top six minutes which he won't get. He is a bust. Let this idiot walk and be done with him.I use to be a goal scorer, until they taught me how to be responsible with the puck. But now I can't score, it's their fault!
I listen to it and hear disappointment that he got sent down (who wouldn't), but it is on him to work his way back. This is a nothing burger of an interview and doesn't indicate entitlement at all.
I don't think it is bad at all either. Definitely don't get an entitlement vibe.

Sheehan kind of? He always sucked...1st round wins by Holland as GM:
Fischer - 1998
Kronwall - 2000
This is where it gets bad...
Smith - 2007 (kind of)
Sheahan - 2010 (kind of)
Mantha - 2013
Larkin - 2014
2nd round or later wins by Holland as GM:
Datsyuk - 1998
Zetterberg - 1999
Kopecky - 2000
Ericsson, Hudler, Filppula, Fleischmann - 2002
Howard, Quincey - 2003
Franzen - 2004
This is where it starts to get bad...
Abdelkader, Helm - 2005
Matthias - 2006
Nyquist - 2008
Tatar, Jensen - 2009
Jarnkrok, Mrazek - 2010
Athanasiou - 2012
Bertuzzi, Janmark - 2013
Hronek - 2016
So Holland's tenure from 1997 to 2004 was pretty solid. After that (2005 to 2018) it's like they forgot how to scout and only picked 4 middle-6 guys (Bertuzzi, Tatar, Nyquist, AA) an unmotivated 2nd line winger (Mantha) a middle pair defenseman (Hronek) a top line center (Larkin) and a bunch of bottom 6 talent.
13 years of absolute trash from Holland. I'd say the blame is very easily dropped at Holland's feet for not making radical changes to the scouting staff in 2008 when it was abundantly clear our prospect pool was empty. We're lucky Detroit didn't pick Sonny Milano instead of Larkin or we'd really be f***ed.
I mean, that's fair. That's how most people felt at the time.I listen to it and hear disappointment that he got sent down (who wouldn't), but it is on him to work his way back. This is a nothing burger of an interview and doesn't indicate entitlement at all.

It’s ok. The zadina is gone now he won’t hurt you.Spoiled.Entitled.Brat.

The shrugging, smirking, saying THEY did this to him and that he didn't expect to be sent down, before finally getting to getting to the "yeah, I'll work on my game" bothered me then and bothers me more now.
This has crossed my mind too... Entirely possible that he fell because of something between the ears that those and other teams detected.
Maybe Holland and co. figured they could get through it with Zadina because they had (or at least they thought they had) conquered those types of issues with Mantha and AA

That interview feels like a guy who was being asked "how does it feel that people don't think you are ready to live your dream" and then using Google translate to figure out the right things to say. There's a lot that gets misconstrued when you are speaking in a second language and words aren't translated perfectly.I listen to it and hear disappointment that he got sent down (who wouldn't), but it is on him to work his way back. This is a nothing burger of an interview and doesn't indicate entitlement at all.

...But...but they didn't figure it out with those guys either.
