It wouldn't be an issue.

Raddysh is in no way, shape or form a Power Play QB.

He's a finisher on the PP with a big heavy shot, but he's not quarterbacking at all. The TB power play ran through Kucherov and he was the engine and the guy that would distribute the puck around until they could open up a lane for a point shot from Raddysh.

If Toronto added Werenski to their team, it wouldn't affect Raddysh's power play worth at all and it wouldn't be redundant because they play very different roles with the extra man.
Agreed, it's the opposite. Raddysh would likely excel even more with Werenski in the lineup.

Just a matter of time until this happens. If it was going to be Tampa, it would be done already.

Yeah. Moser immediately fills the position they just lost, but in a much different way. You can build around Moser for sure, but you're building around the rock of good defense, and then filling it out. I think he's more of a foundational piece than Knies, but when you're dealing with a PO'd fanbase, goals are an easier sell for sure. And Knies is a great player, so it's not like they'd be getting smoke and mirrors.
Does Columbus want to actually get better or APPEAR to be getting better for those not looking closely?

A great GM would choose to make the team better, even if it means the fans won't be super happy earlier on.

Columbus would be getting the rental price now if Knies isn't involved. They would just wait until next season to see what is available, and I doubt Toronto or Werenski would want that.
This. The package proposed without Knies is rental price already. Might as well wait until next season when his NMC becomes a 10-team NTC and trade for the best rental price then. The downside is you may have a hockey terrorist in your lockerroom, but that shouldn't force a bad trade.

This is true, although I think Raddysh would be fine as a PP quarterback. He and Kucherov developed a definite rhythm where they would create space for each other. If Toronto ran two D on their PP, it wouldn't affect Raddysh, but removing Raddysh from the PP definitely decreases his value.

All that said, Werenski-Raddysh would be a TERRIFYING top pair. It's like having a second top line.
If Werenski ended up in Toronto, we'd probably run the following;

Werenski - Tanev
McCabe - Raddysh

Goal would be to have one of the top 2 guys out there for ~45-50 minutes a night. If we're down a goal we'd join them together

Yeah, I think that's the choice. Not that Knies wouldn't help them a lot. But Moser's likely to win you more games based on neutralizing the other teams' best players.

Set a high price, and if Toronto/Tampa doesn't match, tell ZW he can accept the Dallas offer or he can play in the PR nightmare that is Columbus next year, and then go to any one of 21 other teams a year from now. That's about all you can do, I think. You definitely cannot be low-balled by Tampa and Toronto.
It seems like Werenski would be fine staying with CBJ through the end of his contract. He's not forcing his way out. That said, CBJ isn't going to be forced to take a lowball offer. I think they'll get decent offers. Not as good as the Dallas offer though.

Seems like Werenski prefers CBJ to Dallas.

He can wait a year where he has more teams to deal with then ….
SMALL chance he gets a huge injury and misses the entire year or LTIR-retires.

I doubt it would happen, but my point here is that Waddell can't KNOW with absolute certainty that he can get great value next summer. He KNOWS what he can get today.

If he doesn't get traded this summer, or if he doesn't get traded in season, there's zero chance he doesn't get moved by the end of next summer. It's way too far gone.

Moser doesn’t sell tickets. The franchise is on life support.
