Rumor: Zach Werenski rejected trade to Dallas with NMC

He was being pretty direct on the radio. He definitely was talking like Toronto was the destination and that the trade package was Cowan Danford etc.

I find it incredibly hard to believe. But the way he was taking was very different then before

If dumb luck wins the day again and Leafs get werenski without giving up knies this entire site may shutdown.
 
If Knies isn't part of the return, they're honestly better off waiting a year. Let Werenski take his medicine.

Trading him and not getting the other team's best trade chip back not only destroys the credibility of your front office, but it sets a precedent that you'll take whatever you can if the player whines enough

I'm pulling for Columbus here. They deserve better

Say you get Werenski somehow without giving up Knies . Is it crazy dangle Knies for Harley ? I’m sorry I might have a Harley problem lol ( greedy ? ) .

I legitimately do not know how you do it without moving Knies

But if they somehow could then you got Matthees, Nylander Mckenna, Knies Tavares Werenski

I assume if Knies isn't involved it's a MAJOR futures package

It's, Cowan, it's Danford, it's the Avs 2027 1st, probably Leafs 2029 1st maybe TLK

If Knies isn't in the trade they'd have to clean out the prospect pool that they JUST rebuilt.

You do that because it's Werenski but it would cost A LOT without Knies

As a Leafs fan I agree, but also as a Leaf fan I really hope its true lol. Still completely fine though trading knies ++ for him though.

Someone has to bite the bullet and shut this shit down so these guys aren't waving their dicks around. We don't want this league turning into the NBA and that's exactly what's happening.

If they can't get Knies with 2 years left they aren't getting him with 1

They could wait but Werenski loses value over time the closer he gets to UFA status. Now is the time to trade him. Because of his NMC they will never get fair value in return. Basically a futures package of young players with potential.

It's pretty easy when the player gives you max two options to trade them.
