6 weeks to the deadline, what is your team looking to add/trade out?

:bruins

needs:
#1 center
top 6 scoring winger

their middle 6 is kind of a mess. lots of 3rd liners disguised as top 6 guys.
with lindholm around and poitras getting a shot, charlie coyle is now miscast
as a RW on the 2nd line.

trade bait:
trent frederic
charlie coyle
justin brazeau

Blackhawks clear some bodies out

Connor Murphy, Seth Jones (maybe), Alec Martinez (his choice), TJ Brodie (the answer to your dman issues)

Ryan Donato, Maybe Pat maroon and Craig smith if they both choose to want to go elsewhere

Have a lot of prospects coming in contract wise.

Ivan Proverov
Damon Severson
JVR
MN 1st
Jackets 1st

- Head coach
- probably GM, jury still out
- impact players instead of nobody bottom 6 trash masquerading as competent PKers
- draft picks of all kinds, preferably a few higher up in the order

- 2C (Preferably not a 2-3 month rental like Nelson or Granlund…prefer with short term remaining or willing to sign short term)
- Top 4 RHD upgrade..preferably top pairing..(Pulock/Andersson/Dobson)
- Bottom pairing LHD (Dumoulin/Lauzon)

Habs need a 2-way top 4 RHD who is signed long term.
Potentially a number 2 centre, preferably left-handed and good on the dot and team control.

Both of those are almost certainly off season.

Could see the Habs being interested in a guy like Brazeau to get, test him out and see where he fits and if he doesn't, they tried/replacements for players they might trade.

AHL player(s) to make the team deeper.
Picks for the 2026 draft, or further.

Players they're looking to trade out.

Joel Armia
Jake Evans
Christian Dvorak
David Savard
Michael Pezzetta
Possibly Jayden Struble.

And then Picks and whatnot if theres a bigger deal.

Can also take back a contract that ends this offseason for teams that don't want the player.

I said alot for the Habs to likely do very little to nothing

So, who's paying up for Ristolainen, Laughton (shh, I'm pretending he's a center) and Deslauriers? Come one, come all!

Probably Vancouver for Risto. RikTok and Foote would always love another Fridgerator to bolster the blueline.

And somebody else for Laughton i'd imagine. If the Canucks actually needed another sort of "utility tool" player...i'd still welcome him. But Canucks are pretty full up on those types tbh.

But Laughton definitely fits the bill for most playoff teams deadline wishlist. Whether that's as a sort of Bottom-6 Center or Top-9 Utility Winger with a rugged game. Definitely the type of player teams look for, even if there are some foibles you have to overlook. The versatility to plug in pretty much anywhere while adding a bit of jam is something that teams usually love. Dany boy may have missed the boat on getting full freight on a Laughton deal last deadline...but i'd imagine interest is still pretty strong if he's actually dealt. It's not a strong market for pure Centers available, so even a somewhat iffy C/W tweener with Laughton's "intangibles" probably garners multiple suitors.
