dang the leafs pool is in some rough shape!
These are my top ten or so prospects based on my opinion on their likely projections:
Tier 1: Cowan
Tier 2: Danford, Hildeby, Greb, Minten
Tier 3: Tverberg, Niemela, Aktyamov
Tier 4: Chadwick, Hirvonen, Quillan, Kokkonen, Webber
Missing a really solid C and top pairing D.
I would have Niemela in tier 2 and Chadwick and Weber in tier 3 but otherwise, looks good

I am not great at ranking prospects. But assuming Wright and Evans have both graduated.

Catton
Firkus
Rehkopf
Miettinen
Sale
Molgaard
Winterton
Nelson
Goyette
Dragicevic
Nyman
Winterton
Price
Jugnauth

Hammell

I badly wanted the Habs to pick Goyette. Wasn't too impressed with Sale until the playoffs, thought he looked much better there. Rehkopf is interesting.

Utah is something like this.

Dimitri Simashev
Daniil But

Tij Iginla
Maveric Lamoureux
Josh Doan
Michael Hrabal
Cole Beaudoin
Artyom Duda
Mikko Matikka
Julian Lutz
Absolute units. Really excited to see what they bring to a core that currently trends small & soft.

1. Yakemchuk
2. Kleven (likely to graduate this year)
3. Opstapchuk
4. Boucher
5. Eliasson
6. Crookshank
7. Jarventie
8. Halliday
9. Pettersson
10. Donovan

It's a weak pool with only our #1 having realistic high-upside. Boucher is almost impossible to rank as he's often been injured, but it's not like the names below him are anything to write home about...
For a club that hasn't made the playoffs in like a decade, that is a really sad prospect list. No offence.

It absolutely is, but they also have arguably the best 2 players from the 2020 draft, so it's not like young talent is missing entirely.

Chchyrun and Debrincat could have been Korchinski and Benson (just examples), but it's mostly turned into Jensen and Ullmark. Their best move since 2021 was getting rid of Dorion.
