I think Jake Allen is here tomorrow. Montreal signed one of their young goalies today signaling they made a decision. The situation with Dougie/Smith and being a game night means they had to wait a day to juggle the roster. They have a few days to maneuver the roster and they have the cap space. I think this is why Schmid got the start tonight.

I don't think the whole "average goaltending" shit even applies this year. Average goaltending isn't making this team a contender. This team is just not that great. I'd rather them rot in their mess than pay the premium it's likely going to take to get Allen.
