60.44% xGF through 12/12 which was 28 games. That's basically the first 2 months. Then 48.6 for 24 games for the next 2 months from 12/13-2/13. Then 60.6 in 24 games for the last 6 weeks. This better not mean we're due for another <50% stretch lol

I'm glad I watched the miserable Red Bulls game first and then the Devils game on the dvr after to end the night on a good note. The game shouldn't have been as tight as it was but nice to see them kick a bad team when they were down.

Our offense was great this game. Things got sketchy in the 2nd when the Hawks tied it and than went up 2-1. We found a way to take over though.

Another come from behind win for us though , not much of a suprise lol.

First time I’ve ever gone to the away game and not had a SINGLE negative comment said about the team, my jersey, the result, the play etc. Not a single bad vibe thrown my way. In fact multiple positive comments and even the die hard sitting behind me kept yelling Let’s go Hawks and just saying Devils are so much better in every aspect and it should be 12-2 probably.

Gotta hand it to a fanbase like that.

Lots of devils fans probably more than ever and I been going religiously when they have played in chicago

Couple let’s go devils chants rang out too
I heard the "WOO" chants alot on TV after we scored. Gotta think alot of our fanbase are traveling to road games this season. I'm looking to go down to DC to catch their last game of the season later this month.

Fans are friendlier when their team sucks. Used to experience that a lot going the Nassau Coliseum during some lean years for the Islanders. I went to Philly this year last time we played the Flyers. Not a thing from anyone! Even at one of my many visits to the men's room Devils jerseys outnumbered Flyers jerseys!

I'm sure you'll be in good company. For a cult fanbase we travel well. Plus plenty of folks from NJ relocate around the country.

Alas, no photos of the goal but here’s Hamilton and defenseman Alex Vlasic dueling with hockey sticks in a total normal moment.

En garde!

These photos capture Vlasic making this good, non-penalized hockey play on Bratt.

The Devils have a pretty big fanbase. Obviously not original 6 big or bandwagon big like the Hawks, Caps , Penguins but we have alot of fans spread around North America. I don't think our attendance at home games reflects how big our fanbase is.

Didn’t realize this game was on ESPN2 and thought I could stream it on the MSG app later, because I was too invested in the very exciting FLA/CBJ game. What a dominating performance by FLA. Alex Lyon is a very good netminder and will be a steal for FLA in the playoffs. Reminds me of Andrew Hammond, who was also very good. Don’t count out the CBJ for next year. They still have a ton of talent and could have even potted a few tonight if they weren’t robbed by Lyon.

We must avoid FLA at all costs in round one. They’re too good. And the NJD just don’t take games in Miami very seriously and rarely win down there. It will be another vacation and a few days to sit and relax in the sun before going on vacation for good.

Our fan base is indeed underrated. I think it's usually thought of as in the bottom half of the league but that's far from the truth. We're no worse than middle of the league. The metro area is massive and the winning years of 1993-2012 did build a legit following. On the road you definitely hear it in certain places. Fwiw I see more Devils fans scattered about in other arenas than say...Blues fans, Wild, Avs, Stars, Ducks.

Timo is easily becoming one of my favorite devils and one of my favorite acquisitions

Yeah this Timo of the last few games is the real deal! Just in time for the playoffs. I think among new system / chemistry issues in the first few games, there probably were some rust and small things still bothering recovering from the injury.

If he keeps this up, it's actually amazing how fast he's fit in relative to our other guys like Tatar, Hamilton and Palat (who still isn't playing like he can).

New Jersey(No Fanz!)
Devils did what they had to do last night and that is beat a Lottery-Bound team.

Though with Blackwood in net, the game was always in doubt...until the 4th goal by NJ.

He had one stinker of a goal but the others....eh...I'm not going to fault him on those.

Anyway, a good overall TEAM win with everyone contributing in their own way.

But holy sh-t....when Meier was down on the ice, my heart stopped. :amazed:

Thankfully, it was just his mouth getting cross-checked by Seth and not anything involving the shoulder or even a concussion.

I'm also digging this Palat/Hughes/Bratt line that had very VERY good looks.

The other Jesper just continues to impress.

He went from being "just there" to making everyone Pay Attention WHEN he is there. lol

Great goal by him. :)

And Dougie Hamilton becoming the first Devil to score 20 goals....which is amazing considering we had Nieds here.

Oh and Haula scores.....AGAIN.

I think Haula is going to score often from now until the end of the playoffs (hopefully much much later for us) to make up for his Snake-bitten'ness all season long. (and I'm here for it)

BTW, Bratt only had one assist (a secondary one to Boqvist) but he could've easily had one on the Hamilton goal as that was a Tic-Tac-Toe thing of beauty.

I am very pleased by the result....especially considering we probably won't be seeing Blackwood in net ever again.... *crosses fingers*
