... And Haulas on a 3 game goal streak. The dam has clearly burst open...

Lets go!!

I would if its bad wood mode, if it is good wood, you keep going...

One decent game for Wood is not enough for me to keep him in. McLeod’s not going because he’s the center. Bastian is far and away the best of the 3 wingers. Yegor’s better than Wood. This is not a hard decision.

Wood Shar and Mcleod had a good game tonight. All snakebitten. Had chances to bury and were physical all night.

I dont know who is out when Bastian is healthy but currently those guys are playing well.
Hopefully Wood, but probably Rango as he's not a fit for the 4th line. Would like to see Lazar back actually.

Wood is also a very loudly and clearly a lame duck at this point.

Not that I think that should be what we base scratching or not scratching somebody off of, as I wouldn’t be scratch Severson, but Wood is clearly the inferior player of all of them and he’s also a lame duck.

What are we gonna make him mad and he won’t re-sign here? Good.

But we all know he won’t he scratched. He hasn’t been not once this year.

With what Stevens would eventually turn into, it's hard to believe he once scored as many as 78 points in a season. At one point in his career it looked like he was destined to be one of those rare defensemen who reaches 1000 points.

He knew what the team needed at the time so he sacrificed personal accolades for team success. True Captain!

Meier is paying big dividends. Wow does he supply a factor we haven’t had. He’s a one man dirty game in the paint but that’s just the icing on the cake because he can also skate and play the speed and skill game. This was a great pickup for now and for the future, you can see it already and it’s only going to get better as he settles in more. He was a big factor (maybe the biggest) in our win tonight as the Haula tying goal he set up really turned the momentum in the game. And this after having the game winner against the Rangers.

Yep. And he went from being just ok/good defensively to a true dominant defenseman. His discipline also improved when coming over from St. Louis. Gone were the 200 pim's guy who could be baited into taking bad penalties

I don't disagree at all but you know Wood isn't coming out of the lineup when the playoffs are here. Shara will be scratched or Boqvist.

And tbh, I don't think he's even played his best yet.

If he doesn't then I fear that huge ill advised late game or OT dumb playoff penalty we all know Wood is destined to take.

The production hasn't been there (hopefully the last 2 is a sign he's turned that around). Outside the production I don't see how you could really be expecting more. 57.5% CF, 56% GF, 64.4% xGF, 65% SCF, 65.5% HDCF. You obviously want more than 9 pts in 15 games but just judging his play it's likely not really going to get better than this or at least not substantially better.

Messiers comments were a lot more than just that line too. He said they have kept this up the entire year for the most part and have so much speed and skill that there's no reason to think they can't continue it in the playoffs then PK continued pumping our tires like he's done all
Now with Blackwood finally healthy and dialed in. Step aside Boston!:sarcasm:
