The Devils have had lots of shots and chances, and not a single one of them was as uncontested as several of the Anaheim goals today.

Daws is being run into the ground and he's likely not a start caliber goalie to begin with...how about the skaters play at least NHL level defense? That's too much to ask Lindy to get out of these f***ing guys?

Daws is being run into the ground because this team is being managed like hot garbage this year.

When you combine that with this non-existent defense...well...you get exactly what's happened to every single goalie in this organization for the last three f***ing years.

Once again I have to ask...how often do we have to see the exact same predictable pattern play out before people get it out of their heads that a new goalie isn't going to help if nothing else is addressed?

This is his 20th game this season including AHL. Only one back to back. I don't buy being run into the ground.

Do people forget Marty used to go 70+ games a season. Just because the NHL has a more tandem goalie usage, doesn't mean a goalie shouldn't be able to handle high usage. Daws is simply not good enough, like every goalie on our squad.

The way the team just fell apart even after Jack and Seigenthaler came back, on top of the two pathetic efforts over the weekend and underlying numbers getting worse lately and the chants returning, I don’t see how Lindy survives this one.

I didn’t think he would survive 21-22 either, but I think it’s for real this time.

He’s not going anywhere. Like it or not he’s here until end of season. This season is over. Fitz needs to do right thing for the organization and do a mini rebuilt. They have no goalie. Their defense is 8 years old. He rushed the process and set this franchise back. If they don’t trade taffoli it’s a disaster.

This was the fail of the year. Needed to acquire a goalie this past off-season, but he decided to stick with what he had. He blew it.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't he sort of temper expectations for Akira this summer? That is what I find amazing, if you thought Akira wasn't ready and then didn't actually do anything. Were you expecting Vitek to go full Marty and play 70+ games on the way to the playoffs?

Yeah, but he was out of commission for six months due to the surgery. His conditioning is probably shot this season to a degree. I think the expectation should have always been that he was going to wear down

Pick is getting traded for Markstrom at the draft then.

They need a goalie next year. It's not going to be Saros, it probably won't be Ullmark, and everyone else is trash.

Vatrano line doing a good job neutralizing the Nico line. We need the other lines to be heroic in this third

He's played almost every game for like a month now, hasn't he? Including back to backs in there.
