Win here could be big.

Not sure if this is the right game to have maintenance for Haula, since he'd probably want to play in this one.

Beat this team they are good but, have also had the golden horseshoe up their asses all year. We deserved to win at least of of those games back in our hard luck month of December. No go into the Gaahden and show these f***ers whats up! LFGD!

the narrative that zacha is breaking out on boston is so frustrating. not even cracking 20 goals on the best team in the league playing with a top 5 offensive talent on his line.

he’s the same exact player benefitting from a better situation and still underwhelming compared to his potential. i’m glad he’s gone and much happier to have haula
Amen! We traded a follower and got ourselves a leader. Haula gets goofed on a lot around here but, we kid because we care. Haula has some Madden and Pandolfo qualities to his game. Need guys like this to go to battle with in the spring!

LGD I hate Ullmark glove. stay away from it.
last bruins game I thought bahl would never be an NHLer. worst game of his short career. luckily that changed

there will be very little space tonight, the rink will feel like a swimming pool

The Zacha - Haula deal will also be dramatized. Playing with Pasternak was a good deal for Pavel. I’m truly happy to see how he’s progressed this season and Bruins fans have to be happy with the trade. As I am also with Haula here.

Our record with Haula speaks for itself and both teams won this deal.
Was thinking the same. Truly a trade that worked well for both teams.

The most expensive third line forward in Devils history?

Was about to say there's always one after the previous post.

Apparently even after a 100 point season there is animosity in the Devils' group.

Pavel is having a good season and by all accounts plays his role well.

Remembering some of the posts about Erik Haula earlier in the season, many "fans" were killing him based on his offensive numbers.

In both cases, both players have been key parts of their respective teams' success and both clubs are happy to have them.

Bruins fam coming in peace. I like Haula and feel the same as you do about Zacha.

I am pleased he is playing well for you!

i was one of them- he absolutely f***ing sucked. it wasn’t just based on his offensive numbers, it was also his boneheaded penalties at the worst times. he was straight garbage.

Note how mobile and skilled the Bruins defense group is. Grzelcyk, McAvoy, Clifton, Orlov and Lindholm (with the taller, stay at home Carlo) are all very fast, creative and handle the puck well, they are as good and as balanced group as there is in the league. And with the exception of Grzelcyk they will hit you too. They and Ullmark are the keys to the Bruins astonishing success this year just as much as Pasta.

Haula is coming back you can book it

To versatile, can play wing, can play center, can play top 6 and can play bottom 6. He is really what you need for a young team still developing

With that being said I think majority of both bruins and devils fan would do this trade again 100 times over

Haula 166 shots 7.5s%
Zacha 120 shots 15s%

Same games played, same average ice time. They’d have the same goal and pt totals if God allowed Haula to have average luck in the first half.

Haula has been stirring while Zacha has been a passenger with others doing the stirring. (Which is fine)

Haula’s the straw that stirs the drink, Zacha is the garnish. Or the ice.

Zacha is a fine player. I just never wanted to pay him a whole lot. I can't imagine not having Timo Meier because we were paying Zacha what the Bruins just extended him for.

I'm not saying Zacha isn't better than Haula, but Devils Haula has definitely not been worse than Devils Zacha.

Devils Zacha was fine, but I didn't wanna pay him more than what he was making on his last contract, which is about what Haula's making this year? And I don't think management did either, which is why they parted ways when he was an RFA.

Haula has at least replaced Devils Zacha (it's a wash at worst) and at a salary that is about the same as Zacha's previous salary the last few years.

The extra 8M for your forwards (~3 for Bratt and ~5 for Meier over what they are on the books for today) need to come from somewhere and unless you’re letting go of both Severson and Graves for Nemec and Hughes being on the roster. Wood + Tatar + Haula just about makes up that money. If they want to take pay cuts to stick around, sure.

Gonna need a couple of bucks for Dawson soon too.

That being said, I’d still do the trade but it was ”deck chairs on the Titanic” for me.

Edit to add: Forgot about the ~3M off the books from Blackwood. That may help too.
