Top 3 overall picks don't get traded less than 1 calendar year after their draft, I don't really trust Buccigross with his cryptic posts. We'll see but I'd be absolutely SHOCKED. Not like Fitz at all.

Based on Pagnotta’s track record, I’m surprised he isn’t reporting Albelin as the piece San Jose is holding out for.
No the doomer knows all. I remember when it was supposedly clear the Dougie deal fell through as well because they were hammering out the details rather than announcing it was done immediately

Let’s see how it plays out, the great thing is we’ll have our answer and see who’s right. If San Jose was good with a 1st, Mukhamadullin/Casey, and Holtz, there would be a deal made already. They want Nemec (or Mercer, but that’s a non-starter).

You do realize those two first round picks would be the Rangers and Leafs picks? The Devils first + Holtz + a guy like Shangovich is a better offer.
Also the Sharks aren’t going to want to trade Meier in the West, because they are going to have to compete with Western teams for a playoff spot in the next few seasons.

I don`t believe in any trade for young and working player for this team. Perfetti, Jarvis and Mercer are roster players, closer to top-6 or top-6 players. It`s doesnt help to trade assets like this, it`s a bad management. Devils should think about their depth because outside from 86-13-63 we have only Mercer for now, Carolina should think about their cap and Jarvis is under control, Jets should think about the control of player - they have all the years of Perfetti and I didn`t hear about big wish to sign with Jets before. And ofcourse cap situation is important for every team too. If someone is ready to make this big move - I understand it, but it`s just not the move that smart gm will do. Meier is in Debrinkat\Fiala league, his price is lower. I understand that he is very classy, we don`t have a lot of lots of his level, but everybody knows they need to move him and it looks like he don`t want to sign with them. It works in two directions.
And of course if someone could be ready to move 20-21 yo workng nhl player, there would be no talks, trade would be done.

Caps have been in free fall for a while now and lost to the DUCKS of all teams.
