I hate Toronto(and Carolina) more than I hate the NYR at this point. But I still care about my team(s) more than I hate others.

They got a point but changes are needed. The snowball is growing and rollin' along. Address it.

We are in major panic territory if we come out of these next 3-4 games with 2-4 points.

We can’t afford another week of 500 of sub-500 like we had on that California trip.

At least not right now. Build up another cushion first.

I don’t wanna hear anything about the Flyers. The Flyers are the worst team in the conference if you held a gun to my head and asked me to rank #16.

It is panic mode if we go say 2-2 and get 4 out of the next 8 possible points?

I can't get into panic mode when there is only one team remotely pulling away in the standings right now in Washington. Columbus is hot, I don't know how long that will last, but everyone else is treading water across the conference.

I hope we can take advantage of this home back-to-back this weekend. Let's hope the boys can get much of this sickness out of the locker room and be a bit rested ahead of the early game tomorrow.

You don’t have to like it, but it’s a fact we couldn’t get enough games to OT last year.

Everyone wants both points of course, especially with the lead for much of the game, but it’s easy to see that we weren’t at our best tonight so you have to take the positives where you can. I’m not one to dwell. We need to continue with pushing forward with punching this wall.

When you have the lead late you aren’t the ones getting the game to OT. You’re the ones letting the game go to OT.

That's the team I thought they would be this year ... hopefully they still get there👍🏻

I didn’t. I had huge concerns about the depth coming into this year. It’s ended up being worse than I expected because Lazar’s been god awful and Haula fell off a cliff.

In the black and white sense, yes, you're right. In what I watched last night where it was clear as day that our tanks were closer to empty as the game wore on while seeing the push Toronto was making, I wasn't surprised to see us concede a tying goal and we narrowly made it out of regulation still tied afterwards.

I was glad we took advantage of our powerplay opportunities last night. If we hadn't, it is probably an even uglier result.

This is a good view of Luke's change.

It's a bad change, but not quite as awful as I'd thought. He's headed off at the same time his guy is coming off (Matthews). Nylander hops on early. Dougie takes longer to get on - presumably because Luke could have pivoted and covered Nylander instead of changing - and starts further back (because it's the "long change"). The result is what we saw.

I don't think my math is wrong, but I'm pretty sure the regular season is only 57% or so done for the Devils right now. They're still on track to easily clear 100 points for the season.

"Panic" shouldn't be in the lexicon right now. I get it's not the length of a baseball season, but 82 games is still a lot, freaking out over what has been a mediocre three week stretch is bad for one's mental health.

Still, I badly want to see this team figure out how to finish better, because that's just a consistent issue regardless.

Hard to be mad at 4pts out of possible 6, especially when I feared they'd lose all three. It does suck that we are living of loser points though and have only won 3 in our last 10gp. They also haven't been dominant since that late December Rangers game. I'm glad they are in a playoff spot, but disappointed that they no longer look like a contender, but a bubble team/1st round exit. Hopefully this next stretch reignites them and they get back to that dominant play.
yup, we are playing the top teams in the east and going blow for blow with them .. we skate with any team in the league..

Nylander was already on the ice when Luke made the change. It was idiotic and not Dougie's fault in the slightest

And that’s with injuries and a virus floating around!

Again why do people assume it’s that? Virus or illness can be anything
The entire team is skating in mud. They are a gear or two down. Anyone who watched the full season can see it clearly with their eyes. The team is dealing with fatigue, whether its from the grind of the schedule or illness, they are currently fighting it. A healthy team would get their ass chewed off to the press by Keefe with the recent play. He hasn’t been doing that for a reason.

Names two continents: Shorsey “mustard and relish” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Fish, you're such a lippy c***, I'm gonna f***in...

Last Shoresy thing, this opening to one of the Season 3 episodes is everything that I love about this sport and everything I miss about playing it. The rink when you're the first one there, the boys, talking shit from beginning to end in practice. This sport is beautiful. And it deserves more recognition than it gets.

Entirely agree - Luke's fault here.

Just you can see how it happened a little better with this. It's clearly a mistake, but: He's following Matthews to the bench. Nylander hops on. He can either finish the change he's almost made, or try to turn and follow Nylander while exhausted.

Real issue is that Luke should have changed earlier - bad judgement on his part.
