Maybe we can get 12 shutouts of our own.
12 is probably too much to ask, but this is a pretty good defensive team if anything. And even 2 of the 3 shutouts were pretty easy ones for the goalie.

Already have 3 for. Nearly a 4th and 5th with Ottawa scoring right at the end and the only goal SJ scoring being an own goal. Had they managed the first goal in Calgary I also think they get the shutout rather than get shutout.

I don't care if we got shutout, this is arguably one of the most poorly goaltended games of the year.
The Detroit game was worse, and guess who played that?
Yeah, Allen gave up a couple rough ones against Tampa, but he faced like 3 times as many shots, the chances were way higher quality and Tampa is a stronger team.
Markstrom hasn't even had a game as good as Allen's game against Edmonton. I don't know if more Allen is the answer, as I don't trust him to maintain that level of play while playing 2-3 times a week instead of 1-2 times a week, but Markstrom needs to be way better.
He's been JAG this year and just riding shotgun to a really strong defensive team. You can't throw the Ruff stuff or no defense stuff this year. This was certainly not one of the games this year that was like that.

I'm tired of the Markstrom praise. He's been as mediocre as it gets.
This team has greatly improved because a number of things we can debate. Keefe, system, defense defense, team defense.
We haven't improved because we went out and got Markstrom. Allen has done more to get his wins. But like I keep saying, I'm skeptical he continues to play like that if we start giving him more games than we have been.
Markstrom has been a complete shotgun rider this year.

Stupid game from 9 seconds in till the end. The refs completely ruined the game. Gave the blues an early two goal lead and the opportunity to just sit back on it and make it a shitty game.
Sure you wish the devils could score there but they created far more than the blues and I’d fancy their chances of scoring more if the blues actually had to try and score too. We didn’t get a single chance of the rush because they had 5 guys sitting back all game.

Might as well see if Allen keeps it up with more games. Worst thing that can happen from that is he plays 40 games and we lose a 2nd rather than a 3rd.
