We're most likely losing tonight, and it won't be because of the effort. Very comfortable with where the team is at. But this is some bullshit.
Team looks pretty deflated right now.

They can always wake up though.

I'm highly skeptical the Loch Ness Markster doesn't have a couple more goals against him.

Yeah if this isn't an elite defensive team he's no better than Vitek and people would be losing their minds over him.

yea, funny how we barely got an upgrade in goal, and massive upgrade on defense, and all of a sudden the goalie issues are gone LOL

It is what it is, he's been mediocre.

Just skirting average. Not last year Vitek bad, but not even 22-23 (regular season) Vitek good.

I'd be deflated too if I was in their shoes. The Blues can do what they want tonight.

yeah the team is playing deflated. hopefully after intermission they come out pissed.

Markstrom reminds me so much of later stage Cory with how inconsistent he is
He isn't THAT bad yet. Not like the last two years of Cory.

But then again, he probably is about 16-17 Cory. They had pretty similar numbers when looking at the underlying's.

Can't remember a last good Thanksgiving Eve game, only one I can remember is coming back on the Leafs like in 2016. Surely there's gotta be a game since then, definitely not the last 2 years lol

He'd be last year Vitek bad with last year Devils defense in front of him.
I think he'd be a little better. Vitek last year had an expected save percentage of I think .896% or .898% (that was the moneypuck numbers) and was an .890%.

I think Markstrom has an expected this year on moneypuck's models of .909% and he's a .907%. So Markstrom at this level on last year's team is probably about .895%.

If he allows a couple more it will be below that when this game is finished.
