Still feels like he is just scratching the surface
I was referring back to the half jokes about Luke being better than Quinn and Jack and how that seems at least possible with Luke’s recent play.

Which seems crazy to type because Quinn and Jack play at superstar levels. It’s almost impossible to be at levels higher than them, only a few people on the planet do.

But I think it’s at least possible Luke may do it now.

The movement on the PP is better as well. I don’t think Bratt would have ever drifted into the slot like that in the past.

Being good on special teams allows more patience 5v5.
It seems silly because the Devils had this movement the season their PP started at 50% for a bunch of games…and then it just stopped.

So they’ve brought back all that movement and the PP looks good again.

I think the pieces doing all the movement are even better and having Noesen as the net guy helps but the movement philosophy was there and then abandoned in the past and nobody ever said why at the time.

Colliton had Patrick Kane in Chicago as a coach, I'm sure he tells those guys to watch tape on him on the powerplay especially Jack since that was Jack's comparable through his draft year even though I didn't see it, I saw Jack as a way better Barzal and even 17-18 Barzal would do the stuff they're doing right now on the powerplay. For a team that pummeled us on the special teams, it's a pretty good sight to see them owning Carolina there even if it was a B2B

They didn’t have this much movement at the start of last year. Jack just went psycho mode with play making. And then he got injured and wasn’t the same player (and Dougie got hurt killing the second unit).

I don’t have any problems with Markstrom’s game tonight.

His positioning wasn’t great on the second goal, but he made some tough saves on other high danger chances and gave the team a chance to win. Against a good team, that’s all you can ask.

Unlike the rest of this board, I'm not changing my tune based on the outcome of a game. Had they lost this game, that softy is exactly the type of goal that is just unacceptable

huh? yes they did. We were all talking about how much movement they had lol

I’m talking about skating movement rather than puck movement.

I’m going to disagree, Jack would circle the whole ice and the other players would rotate and move with him, similar to this year.

This year engages Bratt with movement more but philosophically, they are both PPs based on movement, which is unusual.

The Devils abandoned the movement style PP before, despite the success, and it made no sense then. The Devils best players are built for movement so it’s great that they’re back on that idea.
