Eh, still lots of hockey to play, at least this game has solidified Faynes place in the line up.

I don't understand why we are back to the trap when the 2-1-2 worked so well in the playoffs.

We ran it in spurts yesterday and we got goals off of turnovers.

Agreed. Josefson just isn't bringing it.

He hasn't scored a single goal so far this season, his defensive contributions aren't going to be enough to keep him on the big club. Josefson's time as a NJ Devil must be numbered, if we acquire another forward I don't want him centering the third line, he's a black hole offensively.

Give Loktionov a chance.

They ARE down 3..

No, he does it all the time no matter the score. And Kovy was on the ice with the 4th line during one of the goals against. No excuses, its a horrible decision and its going to lead to Kovy burning out come playoff time. I'm ****ing tired of it.

Poni-Loktionov-Zubrus would be a great third line if we can afford to ice that sometime during the season.

Josefson can center the 3rd line in Albany

It's one game so not a huge deal but back to back my ass.

Team was playing tight and well until 3 minutes left in the period when they decided to **** it.

They have been playing well tonight? They had some nice stretches in the first period but the Islanders were clearly better during the second. The Devils have no legs tonight. Forecheck is nonexistent. They just don't have it tonight.

I don't like double shifting Kovy with the fourth line. I mean, what good does it really do. Can anyone remember a goal resulting from a Kovy shift with that line? I can't.

1) I think Deboer knows more about Kovy's endurance than you
2) I think Kovy knows more about his endurance than you
3) You said that if not for Hedberg, they could be down "3 or 4"... well... they are down 3...

You when we win our next game

You dont ****ing strip your captain after one bad game, holy ****, no one was complaining last game

We have been complaining the last couple of games and he got the captaincy after one good playoff run, he didn't deserve it to begin with

Yea - I don't get the Salvador hate. Sure, he isn't playing his best game tonight, but most of the guys barring Hedberg aren't either. Besides, he's a solid D-man who brings physicality which is extremely valuable especially in the playoffs. Its like people forget what he did for this team a year ago.

He also did the same thing last season and come playoff time with a back, that was falling apart he was still the best skater in the playoffs.
