you people on here act like we are contending for a cup or even playoff spot.... the ****... relax this team just started the rebuild.. getting matthews doesnt make us contenders.. dam

While I wouldn't say we are in danger of becoming Edmonton, it would be nice to win the occasional game just so the kids have something to feel confident about. Pulling positives out of tough losses is important, but so is doing it with wins.

Right... that probably cost us the game, what a circus that goal was.

The Panik goal was the tying goal. Don't perpetuate an incorrect comment.

Babcock could/should have called a timeout after the 3rd. goal, but he didn't and then they scored the Panik/tying goal.

Babcock screwed up, and didn't settle the team down. Mistake 20/20 shows ... they lost based on bad coaching.

It's still hardly anything to complain about. He also made a great move but Darling actually made a save. Babcock went with a player that has been good in this previously. Hardly the problem tonight.

How 'bout how we got to the shootout in the first place? This is what the discussion should be. Not who we deployed to shoot.

Hollande shouldn't be on the shootout.

We only gave up 3rd period leads 5 times all of last year, now we've given it up 4 times.

People need to stop excusing this as if blowing 4 leads in 5 games is a part of "growing pains."

Yeah being up 4-0 and losing the game is "part of the process."

No these are SERIOUS lapses in the team, ESPECIALLY when the leafs are averaging nearly 4 GPG.

None of what's taken place is excusable.

Especially when you're suppose to have the greatest coach in the world behind the bench. Some of Babcock's decision making is very questionable IMHO.

Failing to clear the zone in the last minute....That was the end.

Dunno why Polak and Hunwick were on the ice.

I'm still pissed off at the no too many men call in OT. I'm numb to the idiotic 3rd period blown leads by now, the refs missed so mnay calls in regulation and then 2 penalties for us in OT when they missed a clear too many men call against in OT.

Maybe we don't score with almost 2 minutes 4 on 3 and lose in a SO anyway but I'd damn well take my chances

Imagine this scenario: The Leafs need one point to make the playoffs, Babcock sends out Holland as one of the shooters. Are you happy with that decision whether he makes it or not? A point was up for grabs...whether the shootout is a gimmick or not.

How we got to the shootout? Ander5en can't make a timely save.

I don't mind loosing with rookies. It is Hunwick and polak out there to defend a lead 4-2, 4-3 that is unacceptable. Put Matthews nylander on and go for the jugular don't start dropping back for me that's why it's on babcock

Hopefully Andersen starts making saves someday soon, giving up 4+ goals every single game makes it pretty tough to win. A lot of it is on the defense, but no team gives up 4 goals a game in the modern NHL.

Is Holland one of our best 3 shooters in that situation? Wouldn't surprise me, it's not real gameplay.

Yeah, a win would do this group some good. Especially one where they held onto a lead and didn't just win it in the last few seconds or in OT. You can learn from defeat, but would be nice for them to be able to feel good about a productive win. Just a reminder to them that they can actually win these kinds of games without falling apart.
