OT: Yahoo Fantasy Hockey/NHL Video Game Thread

Can I get some predictions for Boyle for this year? Here are last year's stats for my league:

Since he put up solid numbers all across the board, he was the 17th highest ranked C in my league. Will he match most of these numbers? Which numbers will he not match? Thanks

What does this have to do with fantasy hockey? Unless I'm missing something here, which wouldn't be so surprising :laugh:
 
I was a bit worried about my goaltending tandem of Price and Varlamov(took Varlamov in the 18th round) but they're making me look like a genius! And Ryan Nugent-Hopkins looked really really good in last nights game. I think the only player I'm not liking on my lineup is Luke Shenn, who was my last pick.

Week one runs from 10/6-10/16.
 
The only player I regret is Lucic. Most leagues I've played in have PIM's so I thought it would be a good pick but we don't count PIM's, so he's gonna be subpar.

Hopefully Luongo can rebound and give me a good start, Varlamov has been carrying my goalie stats so far.
 
i'm in an 8 team league with my friends and im pretty sure i got the best team. i got the first overall and took ovy, then malkin was still available for my second pick :laugh: (hopefully his lower body injury is nothing serious) along with rinne and kopitar i think i got this. plus 2 of my friends don't check it too often.

It's not the greatest at the G position but I think I can make a run.

Almost half my team is injured. Staal+Kesler+Havlat+Crosby.

I'm winning this weeks match up so far but I'm gunna be a powerhouse once I get players back.

You'll probably get a lot of good riding out of Quick, but you may want to see if you can nab someone over Pavelec. A lot of people are overlooking Neuvirth considering Washington got Vokoun over the summer, but it looks like Vokoun is working himself out of a job. If Neuvirth continually gets the starting G job, he'll put up great numbers all season. Someone like Roloson will probably get you a fair amount of wins, but his GAA will probably be middle of the road to poor.

I really like your forwards, and your defense is damn near identical to mine, lol.

Neuv isn't available. I just picked up Dubynk (EDM goalie) and dropped Stafford which I think was a BIG mistake. Rash decision lol.

Also, I replaced Hejduk with Berglund (STL)
 
Question. I usually play in roto leagues so i'm not sure how this works, but if my goalie sv% and GAA for one goalie are really good, should I sit that goalie so my stats don't take a plunge in head to head?

Some leagues have a minimum GS for goalies per match-up, so if you met that minimum, I don't see why not. But you will also be risking letting your opponent catch up.

I cant stand that. I run money leagues for all 4 major sports, and I have not invited close friends back because they didn't check their teams for an extended period of time.

Thats why in money leagues you gotta implement a last place fee, forces everyone to set their teams no matter what place they are in, and keeps things competitive.

Kane is worth holding on to in my opinion unless someone who is guaranteed 60+ points is available. I can't see him scoring less than 50 but I am kind of an E. Kane fanboy.

But it really does depend on league scoring.

I think I got him with my last pick. He doesn't really put up fantasy numbers when healthy.

Can you guys give me some suggestions on who to pick up in his place.


Gonna give Kane+ Ennis another week before I cut the worse of the two.
