Seems like ever since Benn and Nuke got named to their squad, they have been doing jack ****.

Val was taking his Olympic photos after practice today on the ice and those red Russian jerseys are very impressive and really pop in person, may have to pick one up.

I soo hope Val doesn't get into this whole Gays and Russia thing. He is 19+ and I don't care what his view on the situation. I just want him to play really great games for Russia, and if they win I'll be happy for him. I just hope The American and Canadian media don't ask his opinion. Because he seems so singularly focused on being good "possibly great". And not politics. He wants to focus on his hockey. The league would capitalize on him being great. We don't need to know his youngin' politics.

I don't see why he would.

Why...would he? Of all people to ask an opinion on that issue, I doubt they would choose an 18 year old rookie.

The reason I say this is because media is predatory. Looking to make a story. I don't think the Dallas media is inherently that way, but journalist can be *****. I might be pessimistic, but he is just a kid and there are sharks out there. This Sochi thing is sensational and upstarts want to make a name for themselves. So, why not ask a kid's opinion about something he hasn't thought about, or doesn't really care about?

Kari's pads are great! But God, do I hate our white jersey, man. The blue ones are a bit better, but overall worst jerseys ever. The person who came up with this "flags as jerseys" -theme deserves to die...

Yeah, looks like this year is going to go down as one of the worst for jerseys. The Finland one is bad, that Canada one is ugly too, and the USA jerseys are terrible.

Btw, that picture looks like a high school yearbook. The ones from 2010 are way more professional.

Edit: Benn and Nichushkin are wearing their Stars pants too. Weird.

Staying up until 3 am to watch women's hockey. That is some dedication.

It's evening here and I would watch but it's not on TV and isn't worth it to watch on a stream.

Since this is the Stars board and we're feeling good about the Stars going into the break, here is another thing for anyone other than Canadian Stars fans to feel good about on the Olympic scene.

A visual on CBC tonight during the Leaf/Canucks broadcast showed Canada's goaltenders records since Jan.7

Luongo 3-7-0
Price 6-6-1
Smith 5-7-1
