Nearly had a heart attack until he got up and skated away and looked like nothing happened.

I heard Val took a puck to the foot and left, but came back. I hope he is alright.

We really need our big guns to be healthy and firing on all cylinders come the 27th.

They have to go with Seahawks colors right?

Isn't that the thing you want to avoid? Wouldn't they want their own identity? Dallas didn't choose Cowboys colors. Some variation of green makes sense for the area and in relation to Portland Timbers or the Super Sonics but it should be their own personal take on it rather than an exact replica of what Seattle has done already.

I thought he was not going to get up from that one.

Sports franchises in Pittsburgh didn't get that memo.

Old Seattle Totems. I like this look. When I found out we were likely dropping the gold and adding silver I kinda hoped for something really close to this. Dont know if a Seattle team would go with these since they would be fairly close to both us and Minny, but I like em.

Seattle isn't Portland and they have their own soccer team, whose colors are definitely very similar to the Seahawks.

The Stars don't have Cowboys colors but they do have stars all over the place, as do the Cowboys and Rangers. If it fits it fits.

Was the US team supposed to not shot or what? Newsflash, women's hockey is dominated by team USA and team Canada.

Not slamming the US for it. I'm just saying it's embarrassing that a Semi-Finalist that dominate.

As people have been saying, I'd rather just watch the US and Canada play in a 7 game series. It's going along the same way as softball did.

Not sure if it is embarrassing. Women's hockey is not big, especially outside of NA. For example Swedish women prefer soccer, it is very hard to find someone who has played hockey. It is not embarrassing just unfortunate that it is not that big, maybe allow them to play hockey and not some sort of washed down version with no hitting, it would grow. But it is not embarrassing that the sport is dominated by two countries, it is still fairly new in the olympics and need time to grow.

Canada dominated men's hockey at first too you know. They sent an amateur team and won with ridiculous scores at the first olympics, men's hockey was at the beginning much much worse than women's hockey is now.

Hopefully it changes.

Canadian men scored 110 goals in 5 games in the 1924 games. Obviously that was a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away but things have drastically changed since.

If it doesn't improve over the next couple tourneys, I say the bottom four from the men's get relegated to the women's for the next.

I saw an interesting hypothetical the other day, and can't figure out who I'd take:

The US Women's Olympic hockey team

vs

The 23 best male figure skaters

If they play a hockey game, who wins? The thing you really have to consider is that the 23 men would already be phenomenal skaters, and better skaters than the women.

I'd go with the women for sure. The Canadian team here goes around and plays midget AAA teams and I'd take midget AAA vs all those figure skaters any day. Im sure there are a few figure skaters who play or have played hockey too, but who knows to what level. Bottom line is they're figure skaters, not hokey players, and they'd get beat here.

Figure skates are much different than hockey too. Totally different.

The women's team would beat a team of figure skaters.

Also, I'm willing to bet the Americans weren't taking Team Sweden too lightly....there may be a few remaining players from the 2006 team that actually lost to Sweden in the semis.

Softball was given four chances to improve before they removed it.

This is the 5th Olympics with Women Hockey and it hasn't improved.

It took men's hockey quite a while. May just need more time here. I think overall it is a bit better.

Watching the Swiss vs Canada game right now and it's only 3-1 Canada late in the 2nd. Been a decent game, gettin kinda rough too!
