This is what I fear. He's been getting good reactions, but if they start force feeding him it will turn bad very, very quickly.

Another thing that is kind of irritating me is the fact that he never looks like he's ready for a fight. He's suit and tie 100% of the time he's not in the ring. Come out with your hands taped up, ready to go. He looks like he's ready for a board meeting.

I'm all for suit and tie, but if you're dealing with the blood line... would It kill you to look like you're ready for a brawl?

Suit and tie just screams heel to me. What top face in the last 25 years wore a suit and tie in non-wrestling segments? Batista is the only one I can think of.

Cody as champion will be boring and the crowd will end up turning on him. He will be AEW Cody again and it will suck. His program with Seth last year was great though. Gotta give him that.

I just don't think it will happen. The fans that are most likely to turn on him don't really go to WWE shows anymore, current WWE crowds, especially kids aren't going to get super smarky with it.

Plus his shit just fits better in a WWE environment and shouldn't hit the major speed bumps he hit in AEW thanks to that no top title stip he forced on himself on top of some idiotic shit he did in the Codyverse like the Ogogo feud.

That said I guarantee he won't be double champ by Summerslam and honestly he might not be champ of anything by Mania next year.

I think they want to get one of the belts on GUNTHER as quickly as they can.

I think GUNTHER will beat Cody for a belt. That's why they booked the Rumble the way they did.

Yeah he's awesome from what I've seen. Why didn't WWE sign him years ago?

Anyway, he's 40, which is not that old for wrestling. They can still get a few years out of him at least.
 
So we are obviously getting the IC title triple threat.

If the plan is for GUNTHER to win a world title really soon, then this is a good way to get the IC belt off him without him eating a pin. Also let's Sheamus get his flowers

I’m honestly not sure I can think of much stupider on weekly wrestling tv than hearing “Valhalla is here” every time they come out. Oh yeah? She gonna do anything? Ever? You know, now that’s she’s here and all.
 
Cody is ready for a fight… In a full suit.

LOL, holding up Sami’s arm. It’s just too cringey to me. Guy is leeching 100%
