what the hell are the creed brothers even doing there

did i miss something or it's just an attempt at getting them over by sticking them with cody since everything else is clearly not making them get any sort of reactions when they show up

Just watching a little bit of this now, but the Punk/Rollins segment was so f***ing good. It’s perfect. Absolutely. Perfect.

Edit-have to add, the crowd is awful. First hour was damn good and nobody gives a shit

When was the last time WWE had this many over upper mid-card to main event level baby faces?

Early to mid 2000s at the earliest?
prob around the invasion angle, yeah.

pre-pandemic, they were struggling to fill seats. Bloodline really paid off

It was the crowd. Last week they were crazy over.

COVID paid off, honestly.

I don't think Vince lets Roman go heel if they're still running gate events.
They also had a few guys and gals really step up during Covid. Drew, Lashley, and the Zelina and Andrade faction were amazing in the empty arena era. Add truth and Maverick into the mix too

Honestly, I found the empty arena WWE unwatchable. The cinematic matches were creative and different (Mostly) but I couldn't stand video boards making fake crowd noise. (I prefer real human beings in the arena with fake crowd noise, I guess...) That combined with terrible Vince booking, which certainly wasn't specific to the empty-arena era, made it terrible for me.

One of the good things that did come from it is the re-emergence of heel shit-talking. Why Roman is the only one who truly capitalizes on this on a regular basis is beyond me, but this should be happening all the time in matches. Heels don't heel nearly as much as they should.

AEW handled the empty arenas far better, but WWE was only watchable for me because of the aforementioned guys

AEW's idea of handling empty seat arenas was gongshow live matches where they still dain bramaged Matt Hardy because they couldn't just tape it safely in advance.

Granted, WWE definitely did some gongshow matches, too. I think Edge got hurt in one with Randy... But it wasn't KTFO'ed and continue the match level bad.

Sasha and Bayley were doing great work too. So was Orton TBF. Asuka was a super work horse.

Hurt Business like you said with Lasher and MVP doing some heavy lifting.

Then you had the rise of the Bloodline with a finally heel Roman, those matches with Jey.

Also had the rise of Bianca towards the end of it too.

Just caught the Punk interview from RAW...Awesome stuff with Rollins. They really look like they hate each other (pretty easy to act when you actually feel that way).

CM Punk is going to bring out the best version of Seth Rollins.
I just hope we get a dialed in Punk and not the no stamina sloppy version. Even in his prime he had a habit of blowing up and getting super sketchy once matches went into deep waters

Feels like this is where the card is going, though Brock facing Gunther seems more like fantasy booking. I would be fine with Gable ending up in that spot vs Gunther.

I think Logan Paul would work better with a luchador type dude as opponent, but Knight hopefully still has enough star power to sell that match. The card has insane potential and we have months to go

I still think it’s Gable.

I think people lean toward Gable because of the promo he cut... But with it being a web promo I doubt it was scripted.

Means just because Gable said his daughter will get her happy ending doesn't mean that was ever in the company's plans.
