Is it going to be another Sami situation where he gets his big shot at a Secondary PPV and then quietly gets cooled off back to the upper mid card?
I'd say he's way more likely to win a top title in the future than Sami.

Having a hard time coming up with a hockey comparison, but think of it like this... It's a consistent 70 point forward who peaked on one 100+ point season (Sami) versus a consistent 90 point forward without the outlier peak season. (LA Knight)

Sami peaked at ungodly heights but hasn't really been able to maintain them. (It was a year long hot story and happened to help that it peaked in Montreal) LA Knight may not peak that high, but probably stays at the top of the card to win a title eventually.

And honestly, I think it's too soon for him to win the title. If you slam guys over too fast, the crowd moves on to the next thing.

I agree it is too soon, and I also don't think he will be the one to topple Roman, but then which way does he go? Maybe he is the big feud for Cody after Roman, though then you either make Cody heel or go face vs face

I hope they have a good plan for him and I want to have faith in HHH to do things right but it is hard to have any real faith in anything in pro wrestling anymore

I think he doesn't win a top belt for at least a year lol.

Roman's going to hold the belt until Mania when Cody takes it off him. If I had my way with my fantasy booking, Gunther is dropping the IC at Mania 40, going away for the summer, and coming back on a wrecking ball run that leads to him taking the belt off Cody at Mania 41. But if they elect to move faster than that with him, Gunther could be taking the belt off Seth... And in that case both Cody and Gunther are probably getting 6+ month runs. (As they should)

I think there's money in Gunther losing, going away to "Perfect" himself, and coming back 15-20 pounds (of muscle) heavier. The guy has already legitimized himself as an ass kicker. I think if you put a physical transformation on him it just adds that much more to it. (And we know he's dedicated enough to do that just based on his weight loss transformation)

Those can work, I also wouldn't be opposed to Roman winning at WM and passing Hogan's 1474 day reign, not sure where that would put them, probably Summer Slam would be the place for him to drop it

I think if you have Roman go over Cody again you're pretty much screwed on that story, even if it is a screwy finish. IF you did, I think the only way to do it is the third match is Cody's last chance, and you book it in the Garden. Have him win it where Dusty was supposed to. The outcome would be very, very obvious... But as guys have pointed out in the past, a lot of times obvious booking is obvious because it's the smartest decision.

Side note, 1,400 would put you past SS. Quick google says he'd pass Hogan in Sept. 2024.

I’ve been saying it since we got to like 700 days. You’re this close, and what are the chances we see something like it again.

The great irony is that when Roman got the title, he wasn’t supposed to keep it.

I would think they could find a way to spitefully book it adjacent to one of AEW's PPV's to hurt them at the same time Cody prevails

If I'm not mistaken, AEW is pretty committed to Sundays now, and WWE on Saturdays.

I've been saying for awhile, if WWE really wants to hurt AEW, throw a boatload of cash at MJF. Pretty much end the war at that point. Sure they'd still be around, but any illusion of competition would probably die at that point.

Then have him come in as an intern for Heyman, put him in like a sweatervest with glasses and have him always taking notes as a wise man in training

So it did look like Tegan took a stiff kick to her head at NXT last week, on what looked like a miscommunication. She looked off after that. And now she's injured.

This might be Indi's best match in WWE. I still think she hasn't "grown into her body" yet. Like she can't use her size to the fullest, which comes off clumsy at times.

Ripley is so over.

Has a manager over like his ever managed someone that gets heat like Dom? Really interesting dynamic for sure.

These Nakamura promos are so good.

Creative dropped the ball on this and should have put a rocket on him.

Some interesting references in that promo...

You have a weird obsession with womens figures.

Also, Nia Jax needs to go. I’m hoping she gets absolutely squashed and we never see her again.

Did Chelsea have work on her face done?

With apologies to my wife, she looks like an absolute smoke show. Looks a bit different than she did previously.
