Gunther needs to break that record, so Gable couldn't win the title tonight and shouldn't at Payback.

After that though? I'm fully on board with Gable being the one to take the belt off him. Dude is too good and it's time for him to get the rocket strapped.

You can pretty quickly move GUNTHER into the WHC picture and let Seth finally get his back fixed.

Trips doesn't seem like the guy that'll move that quickly from having him as IC to putting the WHC on him. I'm guessing a story would be played out over several months, there.

He honestly wouldn't be a bad one to put the belt on at Mania. And whenever they commit to him, it needs to, and probably will be, a long run.

I think I would rather see Gunther hold onto the IC belt and just relinquish it after winning the WHC saying that it is below him or something like that, I don't like the idea of him losing and even moreso losing to a guy that is 3 feet shorter than him, no matter how great Gable might be

Depending on who you ask it was along the lines of we don't care, we don't f***ing care or who gives a f***. Possibly aimed more at her cheap heat comments than at her or the segment but who knows.

re: cheap heat - exactly, the writers or her are idiots, lol

I think the right way to protect Gunther if he loses the IC belt is to make him not involved in the decision. Either in a triple threat, fatal four way, etc.

I'd have Gunther go over at Payback but controversially. Have Gable lose to a tweener like Ciampa on the following Raw clean, have Ciampa cut a promo that he should get a shot over Gable because he beat him. Gable goes back and says he lost dirty, etc. Build it to Survivor Series, have Gable or Ciampa go over the other but Gunther loses the belt.

Gunther goes ballistic and on a warpath and wins the Rumble and the main belt at Mania.

Well, she talked about Montreal and Toronto... probably the two cities Quebec City hate the most. She did a great job getting cheap heat

This would pretty badly devalue the IC belt after Gunther's done a fantastic job making it probably the most important it's been in this century.

Nothing wrong with having him lose once, to the right guy. (I'm gonna be honest, I don't think the right guy is Gable) Then once he's on to the WHC and well into a dominant run there, you can run the story that he's defending against the one guy who beat him. That sells.

Seems pretty evident after last night that Ciampa is probably tagging back up with Gargano. Looks like Triple H may finally be focusing on building the tag division up with whats going on with the Street Profits and DIY. Even emphasizing the Viking Raiders, even though I think their gimmick is hokey BS.

Also building up McRiddle, even though I think that's a short term team that's only being built up long enough to facilitate one of them turning heel.

Agree. I wouldn't waste time on turning Drew. He's stale as a face at this point and should be the one to take it off Seth if they didn't pull the trigger on Balor. I like Shinsuke but he screams "transitional champion".

They're gonna take their time, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's Riddle that turns.

Stoner bro Riddle has a mid-card ceiling and outside about a month of feuding with Rollins, has never been taken seriously. He's got a legitimate background to kill about 95% of the roster, but his personality makes you completely forget he's a legitimate threat.

Then again, WWE may be just fine with him as a mid-card ceiling. Not sure they ever bet on him in a main event role with the baggage he has.

It's kind of tough for them to get totally behind Riddle considering he can't go 3 months without dick pics or videos leaking out, amazing physical talent but you really can't trust that some sort of bad PR issue isn't right around the corner, be it his own fault or not

I don't think Riddle's problem is as much the dick pics as it is the drug use, criminal allegations, etc.

Plenty of current talent (Rollins, Xavier Woods, etc.) who have had those issues and never got shit from management for it. For Riddle it's just another problem on a pile of problems.
