Down 6-1. I missed the first 3 Ak Bars goals but Demidov is at least -3.

4th goal Demidov was the only one to cover the puck carrier. All 4 other guys were puck watching and Ak Bars scored tap in as the puck moved through 4 people.

5th goal with more of an effort he could have been back to cover the forward who scored.

6th goal he was in neutral ice when the puck was turned over and sent back.

He played the last shift of the first so no signs he's getting benched or anything yet.

In general, Bars Kazan can smell blood and are being absolute vultures on a shellshocked SKA squad. Fair is fair, that was a bad look for Demidov on that 7-1 goal.

Mind you, that can be applied to the entire team for this game as a whole. When you lose by this much, the coach has to either burn the game tape or ask himself some questions about how he prepared the team. Or both.

Very happy for his apple. While I loved his offensive game, it’s the first game I can say he showed clear defensive lapses. The rest of the team too obviously. But irrespective, he can and should do better defensively. And SKA’s goaltending stinks. Moysevich is clearly in over his head in the KHL. Also very happy that Demidov beat the KHL record for U-20. Now on to Kaprizov’s U-22 record!
