At 25 percent he would probably play more effectively too. If we’re going for a playoff spot, I’m more comfortable hoping Kreider gets healthier than suddenly Kaliyev becoming a legit NHL player.
How is he gonna healthier (especially if its his back) if he is taking a beating by the boards or in front of the net on the pp getting hit in the back?
Also you can see he is not as engaged and not doing those things that were making him successful the last few years. I would rather have someone who is 100 percent healthy vs 25 percent unless the latter player is a superstar.

Rangers Hockey.

I mean, if we arent trying to win now, why trade for a 1st line 31 year old with 5 more years on his deal?

The only "win now" that matters is when it's in response to the game that day. Losing should never be accepted. That's how you become the Buffalo Sabres.

BTW, this situation with Edstrom's is why it is totally prudent to keep Vesey who's perfectly fine to be 12-14 forward based on him contribution / cap cost instead of trying to offload him for measly 5th round pick or whatever

also has seth jones really regressed that much, jesus. worst contract in the league? 6 more years at f***ing 9.5M! even with the cap going up, woof. what a f***ing nightmare redden esque contract

considering they traded jack and shit for him, yeah. We probably could have got him for Lindgren and a 3
I mean it’s a bad contract as far as value Chicago will struggle to reach the salary floor for most of it so it’s not really hurting them

Finding Fox's partner for the foreseeable future should be the #1 priority imho.

Every deal henceforth should be tied to that effort
The Rongos don’t seem to believe it’s an issue

sorry no
Vesey has been sucking for a while, zero chance that reverses b'c he's cooked
admit it
would rather have draft capital AND promote youth
the win now people who prefer vets are wrong

I'm still very bullish on the idea of Bowen Byram. Feels like such a natural fit on this team both now and long term.

Make it happen Chris
the prob here is risk
remember, this is a guy, soon after he got here, extensive injury issues, concussions if I remember

now yeah, Ekblad and Juulsen have come back from similar but it is a huge risk

so sorry no

He hasn't been the same player since he took that extended time away from hockey. Hard to balme him, but I'm not sure he's a difference maker in this league or for the Rangers.

We don't need him to be a difference maker but he's a top 4 LHD that we could sign to a team controlled RFA deal. He's at least 3x the player Lindgren is and his strength is moving the puck up ice and defending down low.

He's not a world beater but he'd be a competent partner for Fox.
