I'd rather have Mcmichael over Kyrou at this stage in their careers.

Outside of last season, Kyrou often looked like the most dangerous player for St. Louis when I've watched him play but his stats didn't backup the eye test.

Think it's a pretty even trade at first glance, Washington needed a player that has star potential and St. Louis gets deeper down the middle.

Kyrou is significantly more of a 70 point player than what he produced this year. Essentially 4 straight years before that averaging 70 points.

McMichael has 3 full seasons and is still 25 years old, we have no idea if he’s a 40 point guy or a 50-60- point guy going forward.

McMichael at his best at this point might top out as Marcus Johansson lite, only without the incredible zone entries. McMicheal does not look good at Center. He's played there but he is primarily a winger.

Really nice return for STL. A 25 y/o productive middle-6 center, and maybe they could net someone like Command with that 16th pick, that would be a home run.

Its a premium but there's lots of upside in Kyrou for the Caps. If you get his best it'll supercharge that lineup.
