The best part about this is he totally wouldI said in another thread, he won Washington a cup. He can sit in street clothes on the bench with beer that 5th year if he wants to
that person probably believes the Russians influenced the outcome so it’s not legitLmao that top Twitter reply "win a real Cup"
Wtf does that even mean? How was his 2018 victory not "real?"
We'll see if you're singing this same tune in ~4 years when your team is handicapped from ~$10mil in dead cap space.I said in another thread, he won Washington a cup. He can sit in street clothes on the bench with beer that 5th year if he wants to
Paid him for the Cup. Hefty deal for a 36 year old, but he gets to stay there with his Cup buddies. Maybe break a record, kill some time, but the winning days are done. Caps seem cool with it though, so, more power to them.

I am probably in the minority but not sure even Ovi at 35 is worth 5 more years at $9.5M per. I was expecting more like 3 years.
You think Ovechkin won’t produce at all in 4 years? We'll see if you're singing this same tune in ~4 years when your team is handicapped from ~$10mil in dead cap space.
His game hasn't been predicated on speed for awhile. As long as they have someone to set him up for a one-timer, he'll pot some goals.5 years is a lot of term for him. I wonder how that 5th year will be.
