The issue with the Rock is that he is filming a movie. They won't let him wrestle unless he can get insurance, which he can't. Or couldn't at least. I don't expect that to have changed, but anything is possible in the World Wrestling Federation! /Vince.

that pic makes me think he's going to wrestle..the film stuff could just be false leaks by WWE to protect what they want to do.

it wouldn't shock me if he were a surprise rumble entrant....rock and reigns at 32.

It's insurance. A lot of people were pissed off when he got injured at WM29 and delayed filming of a film. He's not going to compete.

He won't wrestle. It's been pretty clear his schedule won't allow it and only an appearance to possibly continue to slow cook a HHH match down the line if nothing else.

I guess they could do a slow burn angle with Brock but that would be dumb.

I've seen people talk about not wanting to thrust KO into a huge spot too early. I have no concerns about that at all. Admittedly I was a giant Steen mark, but this isn't a Reigns situation. Owens is arguably the best all around active member of the roster right now, the only thing he doesn't have is "the look" which he will never have. Reigns conversely looks pretty and that's about it, and that's the problem and the reason for it being "too early" for him. He's still pretty green, particularly when being looked at as a main event talent.

Owens while still "new" to WWE isn't green at all, he's been around the block for years honing his craft. There's no need to wait for the guy to get better, he's already the complete package. Give him a big Mania program and win that he can hang his hat on and he'll take it to an even higher level. The only thing Owens doesn't have right now (again excluding the look because that isn't happening) is the resume in WWE to back himself up, the sooner that gets built up, the bigger and bigger he's going to get.

Strap the rocket to him and let it take off I say.

If Rock was certain not to compete why would he promote this over 3 months in advance? Whereas the last 2 Manias were done in the last minute, while 27 was done just before the Feb ppv? Tweeting about wanting to "break records", getting in shape, etc.? Who's to say he hasn't or isn't working on a deal with his filming companies? You don't hype up this thing this early just to cut a promo or get involved in a pointless segment; that won't fill this thing up and he knows this.

I'm likely going. Just gotta get my ticket. They better have all the starpower they can muster up and beg for. If it's Reigns/H at the Rumble then it's Rock/H at Mania.

What if The Rock interferes in some capacity in a HHH/Reigns match at Royal Rumble?

Because WWE asked him to start his hype machine now because they desperately want to get that building as full as they can (they will not legit set that record right now IMO)

It is possible he works a safe match with HHH I guess.

Get in shape? Have you seen The Rock? :P

Don't think he's wrestling at all. I think he's just setting records and what not to get hype for it. I really don't think after the last time, and this one being in the middle of production, compared to before, there's no way they'll let him get physical.

So who else from here is actually going to WrestleMania? It'd be cool to meet up and grab a beer with some of you people if possible.

I got tickets and will be flying out of Edmonton. I wasn't able to get tickets to Raw or NXT, and the roster looks paper thin, so a part of me thinks of selling the tickets and waiting until next year.

I have no interest in Raw or NXT. I don't want to make the trip all about wrestling, as silly as that sounds.

Dallas seems like an awesome city to visit, and I don't know if I ever would have gone otherwise.

I'll be stunned if the Rock doesn't wrestle.

Being able to say he worked in front of (an albeit fake number) 100,000 fans is something he would personally love, and it will be good for his resume. Not that the latter really matters at this point, but still.

Cutting a promo and "electrifying" 100k is working in front of the audience. If the insurance isn't there, he won't work. Wrestlemania is sandwiched between filming for the Baywatch film. Imagine if he does work and gets injured, postponing that filming like he did back after WM29 for Hercules? People in Hollywood won't like that.

They won't but they'll live with it because he's a desired commodity. He's not in a spot where he's still trying to really establish himself in Hollywood. He's a made man there now.

So what's everyone's updated card? Here's what I think's gonna happen (not what I want).

WWE Title: Reigns/Triple H
Divas Title: Charlotte/Lynch/Banks/Paige
Lesnar/Wyatt
IC Title: Ambrose/Styles
Undertaker/Kane
Zayn/Owens
Andre the Giant Battle Royal
Tag Titles (Ladder): New Day/Usos/Del Rio-Sheamus

Pre-show:
US Title: Kalisto/Rusev

HHH/Reigns
Lesnar/Wyatt
Taker/Kane
Ambrose/Owens/Zayn/Styles
Sheamus/Jericho
Charlotte/Sasha/Becky/Paige
New Day/Usos/Dudleyz/ADR-Rusev
Andre Battle Royal
Kalisto/Neville (I hope for this more than I predict it happening)

The injury bug has killed the potential this show had.

Maybe the IC Title match will be Ambrose/Owens/Zayn and they'll do a "first time ever" match between two pro wrestling legends in Jericho and Styles. Jericho turns heel out of jealousy that Styles' debut got more hype than his return because he thinks he (Jericho) is a bigger deal than he actually is.

Oh yeah. Forgot about Jericho.

I like that character idea for Jericho though. That's really good, run with the midlife crisis thing.
