Despite the current product, my interest in attending Mania went up a bit this week. I've been gradually trying to catch games at every MLB park and the Rangers will be hosting a pair of games in Arlington to wrap up Spring Training.

Are the Axxess sessions worth going to?

They're configuring the arena to seat 90,000. WWE's target was 100,000. They're going to need a big Wrestlemania main event to get 100,000.

My friend said they're not. He said you pay to wait in line.

If you care about getting autographs then I guess it could be worth it. Personally, I'll be skipping Axxess.

Is there going to be a national tarp shortage in early April?

:sarcasm:

Speaking long term

Owens gets the ultimate rub
Zayn returns
Has a huge back and forth battle with Owens
Preferably a year long feud culminating at WM 33 with Zayn going over as a top face

I mean
In his WWE debut, they protected the hell out of Zayn
Played up an injury, kicked out of an AA, and never hit his finisher on Cena

They could really do something with him, and he already has a great starting point with Owens

I like that idea of doing the TLC rematch, MCG.

It's reminiscent of when E&C/Hardyz/Dudleyz did a TLC rematch after Summerslam 2000 at Wrestlemania 17.

Owens can't beat Ambrose and struggles to beat the likes of Neville and Ziggles yet I'm supposed to believe he can beat Brock even by cheating. C'mon.

If Punk can be made to believe that he can beat Brock like they did, they can do that for anybody.

That's the same discussion that we had about Ziggler once. Punk was coming off a monster push, a 15 months long title reign and a hard fought match against The Undertaker, and he was facing a heel Lesnar who was then-recently defeated by Triple H.

Owens now is a RAW freshman, whose best accomplishment is a surprise win against John Cena, and he'd face a reformed non-diverticulitis "Suplex City" Lesnar who demolished the entire roster. He can fight Lesnar some day, but right now it would be a giant mismatch. It would take some giant attack on Lesnar earlier (like with KO and all 4 Wyatts) to even make it believable that Brock wouldn't be 100%.

And the match would be just Owens spamming his big throws and Lesnar spamming Germans before finishers time. I'd rather watch Dean Ambrose face Lesnar than that.

Not that I think Owens will be facing Lesnar at Mania, but it's still four and a half months away. There's plenty of time to book Owens into a believable threat if they wanted to.

He'd need to go over John Cena and Roman Reigns for it to happen, there are no more fighters to remain even remotely a threat to Lesnar.

Well, OK, this is possible. Theoretically. He can defeat Cena again, and then win the Rumble final 3 against them both. Looks strong and doesn't really beat the golden boy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It won't take much to put Owens in a spot where he makes for what passes as a believable challenger to Brock Lesnar. Let's not pretend like it takes much when Undertaker at his age was given an even look. It all depends on how they frame it. And a dominant showing by Owens in the Rumble where he's in the first 5 or 10 and wins the Rumble will make it work for what the story is. There's nothing wrong with an underdog heel story. There's nothing wrong with a match looking one-sided as part of the story. There's more flexibility here for what the story is going to be than just who makes for a believable challenger.

Owens-Lesnar = Chinlock City v. Suplex City

Make it happen. They would put on an excellent performance even if it is not my first choice.

The thing with Owens getting the rub, like I had said on the previous page, is you can easily solidify Zayn as a top face when he goes after Owens (because that storyline writes itself and is inevitable)

You easily make 2 stars out of this whole ordeal
And Owens can be easily built to be a believable guy to take out Lesnar

You can even make Bálor with it too. You can play on the NXT title matches where Owens couldn't beat the Demon. Owens can beat the Beast, but is still scared of the Demon.

Nevermind, movie studio probably won't let him do it so they're just announcing he'll be there for a segment this time around, I guess.

that pic makes me think he's going to wrestle..the film stuff could just be false leaks by WWE to protect what they want to do.

it wouldn't shock me if he were a surprise rumble entrant....rock and reigns at 32.

Why? The Rock helped Roman win the same event just last year.
