Cap rising, I like both deals very fair for both sides.
The Jets are trying to win the cup not the draft lotteryBut why?
They got a lot closer to the cup then Leafs have in the last decade.Right and I bet both of these players could win the cup on a better team. My point though is they have already proven over the past 10 years this core doesn't have what it takes to be a contender. Hell they have barely been a playoff team many years.
I think they would have been better off selling high and rebuilding and think Winnipeg is forced to do just that in a few seasons when nothing changes and fans start rebelling like Leaf fans did.
Who are you signing for 8 million that is going to improve upon either of them
Why not?But why?
Tell me what's so different from your last playoff performance. Minus Dubois. The Jets are trying to win the cup not the draft lottery
Not bad contracts for him and Hellebuyck but I just don't see the Jets competing for a Cup anytime soon. The team lost its lister a bit and doesn't sell out every home game like they used too. I think the city is getting tired of being a playoff team but not really being able to make a run. Heck they even lost their WHL team after a few seasons.
Winnipeg needs to rebuild and could of jump started that by moving these 2. They are both still great players and these contracts aren't bad , especially with the cap rising so I don't see them being a big issue. I just don't see Winnipeg really coming close to a cup the next few years while these guys are still somewhat in their prime years...
What exactly did the Habs do?Tell me what's so different from your last playoff performance. Minus Dubois.
Just Wondering , Habs did something similar and it went completely nowhere
They're probably hoping that their #1 D and #1 C aren't injured for the first roundTell me what's so different from your last playoff performance. Minus Dubois.

Decline? The Jets' oldest player is 32, and the cupboards are not empty of young talent, plus most of the core is locked up for a few years. Young teams aren't really threats of decline. Perfetti, Lucius, Lambert, McGroarty, Chibrikov, Barlow, Heinola, Kuzmin, Milic, DiVicentiis keep the roster going for a long time, in addition to the usual youngish core that likely re-signs once their contracts expire. Not bad contracts for him and Hellebuyck but I just don't see the Jets competing for a Cup anytime soon. Coping, I would gatherLove it
IDK why other fans are complaining
Signed Carey Price at long term when it was time to be traded and locking players when it's was not the good decisionWhat exactly did the Habs do?
