I get it, a goaltender's potential is generally harder to evaluate and predict, which is exactly why there's also a chance Dobes regresses, despite what he's shown so far.

That being said, I agree that if it's for a legit 2C, the habs should indeed consider it, even though I feel in the long run Fowler might end up being the better goalie...

i don't find Fowler is that big, may have to work harder for those saves. I don't know how we improve without giving up a grade A propect anyways, someone has to go

Fowler might be smaller than Dobes, but I find he has better overall technique and positioning.

But yes, you need to give to get, and almost no one is untouchable, depending on the return of course.

A lot depends on how close Volokhin is to the NHL. Can he step in during the upcoming season? If so, we have an embarrassment of riches in goal, which can be mined to fill a stark area of need like 2c.

Agree but no team would give a legit c one on one for a young g like Fowler. They would ask more. That being said, there are chances Fowler become better than Dobes. The only chance a trade such as this happens is if a scout is crazy enough about Fowler and convince his gm.

I wouldn't just being of the stigma of trading within the division but with the sellers market being what isnt is rn, I wonder if Hughes doesn't have the appetite to trade for big names
