A real jerk thing
I wouldn’t, no. I would just like to see management and coaching try something different, but I like to dream the impossible dreams.
Right? If the Pens are missing the playoffs and they want to keep playing, then moving on is a win/win.I'm okay with trading them as part of a rebuild.
I guess people could fairly ask why I'd want to see these three move along to another team if I'm such a huge fan. Whereas I guess I'd posit if you are such a huge fan why would you want to see them here at this point? They've done all they can and they are being repaid by a bunch of mealy-mouthed dorks and guys who should be working a used car lot somewhere.
I feel like I hear more about Vinny Trochek on these boards than some of our own players lolIf we would've signed Trochek though instead of Malkin we could've seen Malkin raise a cup in New York / Florida..

All I hear about is how I'm a big cry baby who wears panties.
I figured you were more of a vintage bloomers kinda guy but hey no judgement.
neither! they have earned the right to do whatever they think is best and I will support them in that move.
what's it like being on a government list?obviously I'm an american apparel guy.
what's it like being on a government list?
Yeah it's a more nuanced than how op presented it. I want them to stay but I don't want to handcuff them if they wanted to leave. I would not trade 87/71 for literally anything if they didn't want to leaveIt's their choice. I don't really care either way.
If Crosby never won a cup, would you be saying the same thing? There's something to be said for players who don't cut and run when things get tough, especially in today's sports landscape.
Crosby's situation in Pittsburgh is pretty analogous to Curry's in Golden State (even with Guentzel and Thompson), and I don't think it's a coincidence that the two most successful leaders in their respective sports are loyal, team-first guys to a fault. It breeds long term success.
But he did win a Cup. Multiple. Two after a long stretch where people thought the Pens were past contending, which kind of goes to my point. If Crosby never won a cup, would you be saying the same thing?
But if he didn't win, would you still be saying that and against trading him?But he did win a Cup. Multiple. Two after a long stretch where people thought the Pens were past contending, which kind of goes to my point.
No. Don’t care what offer is for them, don’t care if it delays rebuild. Dont care if they could go win another cup.
Pittsburgh only
Am fine with Letang leaving
