I don't know if I ever voiced these out loud, but I thought Rantanen was overhyped and would become just another big bodied middle-six winger. On the other hand I thought Kakko was a sure pick, destined to be a very good 2nd liner at worst. Hellebuyck maybe becoming an average NHL starter with luck etc...

Idk if I ever posted it here, but at one point I thought Olli Maatta was going to be one of the top defensemen in the league, at least offensively. He had some flashes early in his career that looked like he could really develop into a top guy.

Granted, he had some various other things going on that didn’t help his development, but it just turned out to be an awful take.

I remember questioning whether Caps should have drafted Olli Maata instead of Tom Wilson

rossi has a good stat line this year so far. looking like he gonna be at least a solid 2C if not better.

i wanted rossi over raymond and dont feel too bad about it. Lot of ppl saying sanderson really good tho, but personally dont watch enough sens to know 1st hand.

I recall hfboards not liking the idea of trading Markstrom for Luongo as this proposal was proposed by a Panthers fan, but you know. Canadian teams often have more enemies than not. We than successfully traded luongo for Markstrom. That threat vanished.

He had good stats outside of fumbles in his rookie year. But it was mostly bumped up by 4 great games against bad teams. But he's regressed significantly since then.

Looks and plays like an off brand Eli Manning, running aside. Will be interested to see what direction they go in next year

I try to be fairly cautious but I was staunch that Lucas Johansen was going to be a very good #3D if not a #2D. The guy straight up busted and only played 9 NHL games this far. Turns 27 in 9 days

His brother has fallen heavily from grace too right out of the league last year at only 31 years old

Just wanted to share one of the worst takes I’ve seen on this site because it makes me laugh and I thought it might bring some amusement/joy to other posters. Didn’t think I was breaking rules, but guess that’s my bad.
