Not surprised. I never had a good feeling about this team; the Russia win gave me a glimmer of hope, but it was taken away quite quickly.
This team never really looked as dominant as they were expected to be, and never played as a smooth, cohesive unit, except for the Russia game.
Hamilton was a huge disappointment imo, so much hype around this guy going in. Murphy was absolute garbage, he's an offensive d-man yet he had 0 points in the tournament. Corrado should've been selected.
On forward, Huberdeau stank like rotten eggs, Ritchie was awful and Lipon shouldn't have been on the team. Spott also incorrectly used MacKinnon and Rattie.
In goal, Subban looked like a boss against the U.S. in the first game and against Russia, but both of those nights the defense played well too. Today, the defense crumbled, and so did he.
The decisions made for this team were poor from the get-go and unfortunately this is the result.
