GDT: World Junior Championships 2013 - Discussion II

People need to stop judging prospects before they play in the NHL, or truly bust. To say we shouldn't have drafted Player X or we should have drafted Player Y is ridiculous at this point. We have no idea how any of the 2011 draftees will fare in the NHL outside of RNH, Landeskog, Couturier and Larsson.
 
I am still in love with Rielly, but based on our needs, it's hard not to still want Grigo. It would all be okay if we are able to get one of the top C's in this year's draft.

Agreed, there are 5 forwards (Centre's) I really want and if we can get one of them it would improve our team in the future so much. Mackinnon, Drouin, Barkov, Monahan, Lindholm.

Is this with hope that the season is cancelled and the Leafs end up with a top 10 pick or are you suggesting the team is still garbage if there is a season?

Honestly I really want there to be a season, but as of right now I'm expected there to not be a season. I guess you can say I have given up but I do hope I am proved wrong.
 
I have given up all hope in both there being a season and on the Leafs team.

Which is ashame because I know the hopeless Leafs would get a much better draft pick if there was hope for a season to be held.

It depends. Will Reimer bounce back or will he be just as mediocre as he was last season?
 
So the US/CAN game is on at 4, correct? And is it going to be shown on TSN or do we have to watch crappy Russain streams?
 
i'm going to night shifts on saturday, so i have to stay up until at least 7am.

i got lucky the tourny is in siberia.
