GDT: World Junior Championships 2013 - Discussion II

3 or 4 major blunders by the defence so far.

My thoughts exactly. Bad read by Rielly or whoever left the man in front. Was thinking like 15 seconds before, feeling like we are going to lose this. Hoping it's just my tiredness being stupid.

Ya, we're destined to lose if we don't clean it up..
 
These guys activating their D has been the problem. Wow we need to make them pay for it though.
 
Our D sucks, theirs has been solid. They shut us down each and every time we entered the zone and they're actually playing offense too.
 
Better hope a better teams comes out to play in the 2nd, or it's gonna be a long way home, that first period was the worst Iv seen in a long time.

That's because we need to make them go back for the puck....chip it behind them and make them play with their backs to the play. Far to many sole efforts so far from Canada!
 
So yea this doesn't look good. Turnovers galore. You can't blame Subban on either of those goals.

Exactly what I'm thinking, everyones just trying to carry it in, did anyone try to dump and chase? Why wouldn't they? We know our forwards are much faster than their dmen, especially when Drouin and co. are out there.

I think the forward lines need to be switched up, mix size and grit with skill.
 
Every time they show a blunder by the Canadian defense, you always see one falling. The skates have been tampered with. :rant:
 
Nice to see Rielly getting double shifted there at the end.

That one rush of his must have opened Spott's eyes. About time.


Is the ice bad or did half the Canadian D men sharpen their skates with 60 grit sand paper? Falling an awful lot.
