The republic of France now has more goals in this tournament than the mighty USA
How the US still seem to rely on the Johnsons on defense is beyond me.
What's even funnier is that the Jackets gave up a draft pick to hire Torts.
Torts.
He took them over Faulk, Yandle, Shatty
I hope Torts conducts himself iin an honorable way. I don't want any cheap shots in this kind of tournament.
It's comforting to see the Blue Jackets are headed by Coach Torts.
As much fun as it is to laugh at Torts; does anyone know how much say he had in picking the team?
Is it mainly him or is there a 'management' team that does the roster stuff?
Jack Johnson & Brandon Dubinsky are playing so yea he had some insight. They shouldn't be near the practice squad let alone starting.
It is funny how many people are rooting against US, I feel bad for the players since they're going to look bad while Torts and Lombardi assembled this mess. So many better options that were left out.
The good news is the US has some strong up and coming youth, 2 years from now there should be a new wave of olympians simply based on age of current guys. Eichels, Matthews, Gaudreau, will push out guys now in their 30's.I'm not rooting against them, mostly because I'm not so certain that getting embarrassed in this tournament will spark any changes. Sochi didn't.
