North America has the 23 and under age players from North America on it, whereas USA and Canada have their respective countries' players of ages 24 and older.

Five goals against on twenty-two shots and Enroth is in.

Yikes.

You're better than that.

I watched the entire game, the entire first and second period were multiple odd man rushes, 2-on-0's and breakaways. I posted earlier that Sweden's defense resembled the Rangers of last year.

Sweden was entirely flat tonight, and the defensive showing was abysmal. They didn't seem to care, and hopefully are just waiting for Sunday.

I think Zooks had the only assist on Vanek's goal. If anyone has a link to a video please post it.

Thing is though, even if those were 22 high-danger shots against, he should still save more than 17 shots.

Nev already in season-form with the excuses. ;)

Hank shouldn't really give a flying puck about this tournament. Other than that, he usually starts off weak. Last season was different, where he literally was a deity starting the season, then the team failed him.

But tbh, we would be veeery lucky to see a consistent Hank in the future. He is getting older, there is no way around that. If he was more athletic, I'd be less worried, but Hank isn't really the athletic type goalie.

Was at the SWE-EUR game last night. Hank did not play well. Yes the D left him out to dry on a couple plays, but side from the penalty shot he did not make any big stops. t was hard to tell how much eh was into the game, although he did show some frustration after the 4th goal I think.

The 2nd goal was particularly rough. Clean look at the shooter and he still got beat blocker side high.

Hank usually gets frustrated after being scored on. I focus a lot on his reactions after letting one in. I don't like the way he does it, but usually it doesn't faze him as much as it may seem.

He gets mad, curses, or whines a lot. I guess it's his way of dealing with it. Most goalies just don't show that kind of emotion.

I just watched the highlights, not the actual game though...

Looks like the defense was pretty horrible. Lots of 2-on-1's like Nevesis said.

That said, Hank didn't look especially sharp, but then again the only season he's looked sharp in the first 20 games of the season was 2015-16

You should see him in practice. He gets very angry whenever he is scored on. Thats just his nature, super competitive.

The assist comes from a little poke check he did that helped create a turnover. It's nothing to write home about. You can see it just after the 1:17:50 mark in the Youtube video linked below:

Thanks for the link. I will write home about it since that nice poke led to a breakaway. That was Anton Strallman (former Ranger) that Zooks poked the puck away from. Nice defense Zooks! :D

I guess that's all JT and Tro are to Team NA: players with intangibles who can be swapped out on the fourth line as needed. :sarcasm:

watched the sweden game.

the team sweden defense was a **** show. lots of offensive ability there but too many bone head running around in your zone moments and too much leaving hank all alone. too many odd man rushes and kill shot chances for hank to handle. overall the defense was atrocious.

that said, hank looked bad too. he didn't really make any huge saves and looked rather blah to me.

hell step it up when it matters. always does.

Thst Zook, Nielson and Habs line works well together. Gabs with the goal. Nielson and Xooks with assists.
