Trocheck/Miller has seemed to be the swap during exhibitions. They play relatively the same, and swapping one for another isn't really a huge difference.

Think team NA could've done better than both of them by just grabbing Galchenyuk...

Indeed. But for the time being, they have this to work with. Trocheck/Miller aren't slouches.

Team NA isn't too affected by the "replacing good players with bad players" thing that's going on with Team USA

I used to defend Torts because I thought he did some good things with the Rangers and I still think his aggressiveness is a bit overstated, but man he really just can't get away from making bad lineup decisions anymore and isn't willing to let some skilled players loosen up a bit.

Guy who shouldn't even be anywhere near the team and probably also shouldn't be on a USA B team is playing with Patrick Kane LOL

I predict Team EU vs Canada in the final if Halak continue with amazing goal tending.
Maybe Team Europa is underrated due to slow start vs team NA - they have some strong players for sure, but they have like 0 depth if someone get injured so cross fingers for no injuries. :)

It's slightly hilarious that Team Canada has Babcock, Julien, Quenville, Trotz teaming up plus Peters. Team NA has Canadian coaches in Todd Mac and Jon Cooper as associate. Meanwhile, team USA is rolling with Torts.

Throw in the two other top tier veteran coaches in the league in Vigneault and Sutter who are both also Canadian, that's a serious imbalance of talent in the coaching pool for team USA.

I for one would be perfectly OK with having a Canadian coaching the USA hockey teams, especially if Torts is the alternative. I wouldn't even mind Vignault coaching the team since I think he'd likely do well coaching skilled talent in a short tournament like this

Rest up Swedish pupper. Less chance of injury and more rest as needed. Get the flu bug or whatever out of the way.

*whispers* it doesn't matter how good the Russian forwards are, if your defense can't get it out of the zone to them it doesn't matter
